Only watching the video to see if my engine noise is normal 😂 but is it normal for the engine to "whine" an little bit? Especially during startup and revs

I've heard that the 1993 model has a timing belt instead of a chain and needs to be replaced alot. Have you had issues with this?

The belt should be replaced every 100k kilometers or every 3-4 years. I had no problems. Fantastic car!

Mine has around 150k miles on it. The belt just squeaks a lot but has no other issues. Great car for daily driving.

Is this car super quiet on inside? I’ve seen a couple videos of this model and both seem extremely quiet!

I have had this car in my family for 20 years. It will receive a FULL renovation - body, interior, engine. This e36 stays with me for life. The exhaust and the rest of the car are 100% stock :)
