Thank you for posting this, you don’t appreciate something special until it’s gone.

The Earnhardt/Wallace battle at around the 1:30:00 mark was so much fun to watch! I'll always be an Earnhardt fan, but loved watching Rusty give the bumping back to Earnhardt.

I send my deepest sense of gratitude for you uploading the 1992 spring event at North Wilkesboro. I've always been a huge Allison fan, and I've been searching for live coverage from this event for a long duration. I consider Davey Allison to be one of the most underrated drivers in Professional Motorsports history. Rhetoric can't describe how many victories, or championships that he would've achieved throughout the rest of his career. He would've gone down as one of the Legends of NASCAR.

​@@vapinbachelor289 When I typed this back in 2011, I mean it in the sense of statistics as well. Oh and if I responded anything overtly religious in pontificating ways, I've since became an atheist at least very skeptical of anything supernatural which is no disrespect toward visceral types since much of it's an allegory for charity, but I think it's a force that's' mainly fallen into the wrong hands over world history. And Davey's literally my all time favorite classic driver and athlete essentially in anything. But, let's also be fair, I know at the rate he was going he would've certainly nabbed well over forty wins and at least a single off one championship if not lots more which I know he was more than capable, but on the math alone he doesn't have say Jeff Gordon's or even Richard Petty's milestones which isn't in way to diminish his own career accomplishments in racing, but still. That's why I resent it when people let their unbridled passions dictate reasonable decision making that should be independent of sentimentality. Not saying you're guilty of that, but you know how that ultimately goes anyway. Perspective is almost everything in context of course. I read somewhere on racing reference that allegedly the Pocono tumble ruined him and while I don't think that's the case, that certainly affected him as with Clifford's unfortunate passing throughout the rest of '92 which allowed obviously Alan to catch up to 'em in the final points, but I still think he and Larry Mac had well over twenty plus wins left in 'em as with a championship if not multiple ones as I've said. Regardless of the arithmetic, I would never myself as a fan think less of his legacy. Davey was so positively unlike most people in the world at the time. So genuinely kind and friendly which is where his real appeal laid. Would've undoubtedly been the face of the sport for the rest of the future as with the other consistent frontrunners in the way Kyle Larson basically is now. Larson's my favorite active driver. Believe it or not, I actually share Kyle's birthday.

This was a GREAT track, i miss this place. I argued once on the Sirius Satelite radio show how this track needs to be re opened. Man you get that small track packed with the new cars, that would be the BEST. I have friends out that way and sales team that drive by it everyday. Hot damn, that is a great place. 1 of Davey Allison's more impressive wins. He was dealing w/ severe pain following a wreck the previous week at Bristol. Jimmy Hensley qualified the car & gave Davey a P7 starting spot. Davey held off a strong challenge from Rusty Wallace to get the win

Davey Allison, such a underrated driver. If only he had lived, Nascar would be even more better than it is now.

He's missed. His legacy lives on forever. His accomplishments are a matter of record. For a man who won 19 races in 191 starts, impressive. There's drivers who have run that much of races that won't achieve even those numbers.

Was at this and every one until 96 about brings me to tears everytime I drive by there now.

It always makes me wonder just how many races and championships Davey Allison and Alan Kulwicki could have had if not for the tragedies of 1993.

It makes me really sad, too. This was racing! Damn good racing! Now we are stuck with 1.5 mile Cookie Cutter tracks where aerodynamics means everything. I'm not the biggest fan as I used to be. NA$CAR would be much better if Davey Allison, Alan Kulwicki and Ernie Irvan were still racing.

I wonder what it would take to get racing back to North Wilkesboro? Get a bunch of fans to invest or even the drivers! Tony Stewart has a stake in several dirt tracks.

you got that right, I rarely watch races anymore since the shift to the "cookie cutter" tracks and the "chase" situation
