I recently saw the incredible Stokley from Mint Condition play Rick James in SUPER FREAK: The Rick James Story. A great musical and powerhouse performance. Stokley would be way better in a film version than Terrance Howard.
I never could stand Cadillacs either Sir Rick until around 2010. Rest well LEGEND!!!

Huh? He didn't take 5 years off. After Cold Blooded in 1983 he sued Motown for unpaid royalties and won. He put out Reflections with 3 new songs in 1984, Glow in 1985, The Flag in 1986. He didn't work in 1987 so thats 1 year off
