Wow my 88 has minor engine upgrades and mild suspension upgrades, bought it like that but then I repainted it Mazda 46V and upgraded the rims and tires. Did mine more for night time cruising not racing.

theres something super gratifying yet really annoying about being in this situation lol (mr2 spyder owner)

But... I did exactly the opposite of that in 2022. Check this link out. kzread.info/dash/bejne/mWqrx9dpca-1lMY.html The new car is heavier by about 700 lbs but it out brake, and out corner my FC. Needless to say it vastly out powers the FC as well.

Engine felt off balanced, starts vibrating around 6.5k that's why the early shifts. Front rotor housing has a hair line crack spilling oil out when ran hard, that was 2021. Car is sitting for now until I find time to rebuild the engine.

@@CFGRacing I see, good luck on that. I just saw your recent videos. I miss the braps man haha are you gonna port the engine when you rebuild it (if ever). 6 ports porting ain't the same as 4

You can do it, I wasn't driving it that hard in this video. This coming 2021 season I will try to go even faster on the same setup.

What troubles did you have getting a ITB to work properly?

no trouble what so ever, you just need stand alone ecu to make it work throttle cable is slight bit of headache but once you solve that the rest is straight forward

@@Harmonic_Glow Go to my first startup video, build spec in one of the comments. I originally looked at EFI hardware, they make the best stuffs for this application but it was out of my budget. Went with Jenvey ITB's in the end.

It's a really old build from over 15 years ago. I will just list them out as much as I can remember. Stripped out interior TEIN HA Coilovers Energy suspension PU bushing all over Rear subframe camber link Ebay header into RB Y pipe and dual Rev II mufflers Stock port motor, Jenvey ITB with RB upper Haltech PS1000 stand alone ECU Stock brakes with Stoptech rotors and Hawk DTC60 17x8 RPF1 235/45/17 squared setup Large ebay AL radiator that's all i could think of, car was a very basic setup

im surprised that the blue bmw didn't get any flags or the track workers are dumb

counterweight for light flywheel engine is out of balance, so it shakes rather violently over 7k it's an attribute of racing with a lack of funding

@@gearhead366 balance does not come naturally on anything. rotary is naturally "more" balanced to their piston counter parts, that's where it ends

More power doesn't mean more faster. That blue car in front obviously had more power leaving you in the straights but they also had poor technique. Traction control was slowing them in corners a bit I'm sure but I imagine it would be a spin fest if they turned it off.
