The era that I lost interest in racing. If I wanted to watch guys wobbling around on street-bikes, I could sit outside Motorcycle City see it for free.

They said Haslam bike was just a standard Honda VFR that any one could buy, but on the straights it wasn’t losing any ground must of at least had some work done to engine or at least the exhaust. There was at least a 40 hp advantage over a stock VFR750.

@@adamcondon5115 The stock 1986 VFR750 rwhp was only 82, Merkel’s bike was 135 hp, whether that is at the crank or wheel I don’t know.
