Gants wife was an emergency room surgeon. Man, thats a balls job. Can you imagine the shits shes seen? Horrific. I think it would be total badassery to say "I save asses for a living ". What a boss.

Mike Aulby puts a tremendous amount of roll on the ball.

This bowling center looks like it was an absolute dive, pin carry doesn't look much better either. Closed in the late 80s or early 90s in any case.

39:55....With the way today's balls hook, the ball would probably miss the 8-pin on that spare! :-P

Did John Gant ever show up again on TV? He, at one time, looked like he had it all and would be one of the greats.

Yes he did. That was his only TV appearance for that year. He went on to make ten TV appearance over the following two years (in 1986/1987) for one title (1987 True Value Open) and one runner-up (1986 Budweiser Classic in Columbus, OH) before leaving the Tour for several years to take care of his young son while his wife was a senior medical professional in a hospital. Later returning to the Tour in 1995 to make a further six TV appearances for two more titles before making his last his appearance in 1999 at the Greater Detroit Open.

@@multicaruana yeah it seemed like he was on quite a bit. You'd figure he'd had won more with that ball, but he blew alot of easy spares. Still, he was entertaining
