Wow that's incredible I have never seen an e24 with such a clean body and the eurospec bumper makes this thing such a gem. Extremely interested in what this looks like when you're done especially with a factory refresh. Good stuff man!

I love these cars! I would probably trade my 928 for one under the right circumstances

Great work on this E24! I admire your ability to tackle multiple systems at once. I like to work a section at a time which takes much longer.

Amazing car 🙌 I got the same car in white with blue leather interior. Just got it running a couple days ago and I’m super excited to drive it! Your videos fuel my dreams 😌

Wow. This is looking like it will be a stunner. The 1979 build you tackled was fantastic and it looked stunning with the respray (that color is my all time favorite). I hope this build is just as amazing, despite the less stellar color combo. ;-) When are we seeing a video on the new c126 pickup?!!!

Does it have manuel crank sunroof ? I think it was my friend Joao Paulo from the San Francisco area. Awesome spec rare color interior combo . I have a diamond black m635.

@@slownrusty My apologies for the random response. Yes. A work in progress. My indy did actually. It's running lean when it's running atall. Loping like an American V8 engine. Lol! We've installed new pumps, including the intank "pre pump", if I have that correct, filter, new programma ecu, no apparent vac leaks, etc. Just ordered plugs, wires, cap, rotor, coil and all new relays. Relays are apparently original equipment to the car. Was formerly an automatic converted to a 5speed before my purchase. Not sure if that's relevant or not. Coincidentally, I just replaced the water pump & starter as well. Also, as my indy and I were looking at the engine with the hood up, upon dropping the hood, it stalled and then shut off. A feat we repeated a few times with the same result. Pretty weird. He was thinking wiring harness issue maybe? He's a master tech in New Jersey (Koz Bmw, Route 73 in Palmyra) with about 40 or more years experience with this exact model and can't seem to figure it out. Whats even more peculiar, he's the tech who installed the replacement engine in this car years ago, so he has familiarity with my car. Intimate familiarity. Lol! We're stumped! For now anyway. Thanks again for the great content and for your time and advice as well my friend. Truly appreciated by me.

Hey slownrusty. As it turns out, my indy apparently does not utilize the old technology that this period of Bmw requires for troubleshooting codes, but apparently utilizes the "Obi Wan Kenobi" method of, "feeling out the issue". He figured it out. It was the coil. He did however replace the distributor cap, rotor, wires & several aged o.e relays all at once. Fuel, main, etc. A slight lope remains at initial start up, but she runs and drives beautifully now. I couldn’t be happier with the results. I'll keep working on it for sure. Thanks again.
