ANYTHING Lou did offensively was a bonus (and he did plenty). He and Tram were soooooo good in that middle infield. Thanks for the great memories guys!

My grandfather worked for the Tigers. Lou Whitaker gave him so much stuff for his grandkids & it was really cool to meet him a few times.

I think it is a crime that Whitaker is not in the hall of fame. A crime was nullified when Trammell was admitted in. I hope I live long enough to see Lou get in.

He is not the best ever. He isn't even the best Tiger 2nd baseman ever (that belongs to Charlie Gehringer). But he is certainly HOF caliber.

This is a pretty popular sentiment. I feel that if Ryne Sandberg is in, Lour should be too.

HoF worthy. He and Trammell were one of baseball's best 5 & 6 combos.

Lou should be in the Hall of fame and the " judges" should be in the Hall of Shame .Pete Rose have been punished enough for doing what most people in baseball do including a lot of upper echelon hypocrites. Lou Whitaker , none better ,Pete rose MR. Baseball AKA Mr. Hustle.

HOF..HOF..HOF....that Sweet Lou gallop. Check other 2nd Base HOFs & decide. Obviously, the Veterans HOF committee is blind or stupid. As for kids, he was great. He was KFC spokesman, and my mom met him when she worked at the Agency. I took Cyrus in when he was there n he was wonderful to him. Class speaks for itself. Don't hear him bitching about HOF. He just lives quietly, the same way he played.

It is extremely generous of you to attribute Lou Whitaker’s exclusion from the hall to the voters being blind and / or stupid , and that same sentiment applies to dick Allen and vada pinson as well ; I’ll probably just leave it at that ..
