Like your choice of a lightweight Rover V8. Surely not the most powerful engine, but a glorious sound at any rpm, and far removed from the castrated sputter and misfire of modern tiny displacement turbo engines. Must be a joy to feel the midrange torque in that light car. Sixties VW Bug dashboard is a great idea and tastefully integrated. Great car, dude,! Compliments!

WHY ARE U HATTIN THIS PROJECT? This is UK, and that's why it's Rover engine inside this car, because it's cheap and popular in UK. I think that the main idea was to build small hatch with RWD and V6/V8 under the bonnet. 250HP is too small for 3.5 v8 are u serious? DAMN AMERICANS HAD 5.0 V8 WITH 170 HP STFUUUUUUUUUUU HATERS!

Different but dumb engine choice when an R32 VR6 which makes 240 horsepower and is bolt in with aftermarket mounts that are readily available. I've even seen R36 from B6 Passat in MK1 and those make 260-280 horsepower and have plenty of room between the firewall and engine for a turbo.

Big heavy V8 with very low power, m52 BMW M3 engine and 6 speed box a lot lighter a lot higher rpm and 320 bhp, I bought the lot for E30 conversion for less than a grand. Looks well though, saying that 250bhb is about your lot for escort English axel you'd need to go the atlas route.

pretty sure that's a very small block GM... I believe it was used in Land rovers but the point is that a 350 sbc probably won't fit as easy then there's the weight issue lol a 350 and a turbo 350 trans probably weighs more than a mk1 shell

It's more powerful, has more torque and it's much lighter than a GT86 + it sounds 10 times better. It's a one off very quick car, it doesn't have 700 Hp like the hellcat, because it's not meant for highway or 100 mph rolling races. It's one of the cars i would like to build if i had the money, a car with character - it's special. It's something that power addicts can't understand, it's a fun road, week-end car.

THERE'S IS ONLY ONE QUESTION : WHY?... So much effort for having a RWD car? Is that it? Or... is it because you want a V8 engine in your Golf? Well why using that peace of shit for an engine and not a Small Block Corvette or a 6.3 AMG engine. 250HP... you'll be the laugh of the town on a dragstrip. A factory standard GTI can easily, without any high level tuning, be altered into a 300HP+ machine! With more heavy modifications there are 2.0 Ltr. GTI's with even 700HP and more... To me it's a pointless and useless transformation. A lot of money flushed down the drain.
