@@couchcollectibles I have a 1982 penny that is very clean and shiny new. It is missing the the D on United the S and part of the T in States. Has the big 8 and the 2 is smaller than the 8 with no mint mark. Ridge edge is in perfect condition.

Ok so I believe I have a 1982-D small date copper alloy coin I would love to show you guys some pictures. I actually found it watching this great episode. But I would like another coin collectors opinion. I think it's a great find im looking at the reverse for doubling right now. And it does weigh 3.1 grams. Thank you for listening. Thanks for your insights. Don't say it enough. I did find a quarter that is off center more than I've seen before and slightly larger, definitely would have made a roll look a little off, what is that kind of error ? You weigh all your pennies after 1983+?

I just found a 1982 dd on the date. first time I found one. cool I took a photo with my cell phone sync it with google photos on my acer chromebook and was able to zoom in on the penny. I could not see it with a magnifying glass as well as using the google photos. wow it is really nice. but I have to weigh it, and i never knew you had so many 1982's thanks for this info. Now I have to find out if this is valuable. its in good shape.

@@rayspider ain’t nobody in this hobby gonna do your hw for you and if you act like you have no idea what you have expect to get ripped off on the unlikely chance you actually have something worth money, 9/10 times with newbies they think they found something rare of special and it’s not worth but face value. I wish you best of luck you can’t be half in half out in this hobby your either going to put in the necessary time and effort or your gonna end up wasting time and money

Make sure to weigh it over 3.0 grams your good and also make sure its in high grade and all steps in the reverse are complete good luck

I have a 1982 penny that has a weird marking over the top of the Lincoln. I'm not exactly sure what a strike error is, but it almost looks as if it was struck twice or something. I don't know. Can you help me figure out what it is and if it is worth anything or not?

I just found a DDO 1982 large date

I have 3 so far 1982 penny's two with the D mint mark 1 without that I'll have to checkout closer. Also I've found 2 1962 penny's 1with&1without a mint mark D on 1of them. My mother wants me to come check out some silver dollar coins she has and paper money also to see if there worth any value she and I are also going in on two 2020 coin collectors book,a coin&stamp magnafire with also a scale to weigh them. PS I think I found a 1994 D penny with some numbers I think got engraved on Lincoln's right shoulder but I need a better magnafire to see and hopefully a coin proofer to help me and mom.

I've seen a web site that said a 1975-D Lincoln penny with a crooked 5 in the date was probably due to handling, I just found the same exact thing same date, mint and crooked 5 is it possible to get the same exact error by accident or is it actually a mint error?, What's is it's potential worth ?

I do not understand I have found in my searches. 3 total 1982 smalls. One from Philly weighing 3.1 gram, (2) Denver mint both weighing 2.5 gram? (1) D has a D.D at the 2nd T in trust (It is split right in half), the other looks as if the die slipped and the lettering on the back are pushed towards the upper rim. The 3rd which I assume is bronze as it weighs 3.1g? I see no doubling. Are these good finds? I will get my scope out and check further. Each I would guess grade out on lowers grade MS or Xfine maybe better. Thanks for getting me back into coin collecting.

The shinier and less scratched the coin is, the more valuable. If you clean your coins, they go down in value. If it is over 3 grams, your scale might not be accurate or there is extra dirt on there.

They made copper and zinc that year. Copper weighs 3.11 zinc at 2. something I can't remember off the top of my head

I have 2 of the 1982 D pennies. One date is smaller than the other but no doubling. I don’t have a coin scale so idk if the pennies I have are worth anything. Would I just take them to a coin shop?? How would I actually get cash for them? We went through a huge mason jar of change after seeing a TikTok vid about coins lol. Now we’re excited we found a small 82 dated penny
