Hey @Johnnysshop how goes this project? Looking forward to more updates and build videos! Thanks for doing these BTW. I have a 2014 YZ 250 but love seeing the old ones too. My oldest bike was a '86 CR 500 back when I was a teenager.

Hi the air box seat fuel tank and cylinder and head gearbox are all different from the 1980 and 79 as the 81 250 had a whole update just keep in mind when rebuilding John.
I had to remove a 49mm nut (almost 2 inch) from a yz 125 from 1992

Love the gold rims! You might have best luck finding parts you need on forums on Facebook if your on that. Really like the older bikes but check out my ktm build on my channel
