1981 Series Land Rover "The Brit Bus" | S1 E07 | Terminal Apex

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

This 1981 Series 3 Stage 1 Land Rover can be described in a few words...spartan, functional, rugged, utilitarian, and a capable classic. Joe Polcari found the perfect truck overseas in Australia, and after deciding he couldn't live without it, had it put on a ship and brought his way to Connecticut. It exemplifies everything "Land Rover" from the color, to the tires, to the classic styling. A newer Rover V8 has taken the place of the original motor, and a few custom dents have been added, but otherwise this is a true-to-life original old iron off roader from simpler times, with a design that has stayed timeless to this day.

Yep, got a Stage 1 as well. Nothing like a V8 in a Land Rover. I put an automatic gearbox in it, as well as parabolics. My father told me to make sure I never sell it. I won’t!🤟

Loving the few dings and dents, a Landy isn't right unless it has a few! My old Defender was all busted up before I sold it, still upset as I put massive hours into it over a series of 7 years or so. Might get me a series 3 now - cheers.

Awesome!! Lots of help from Joe, on my Stage 1 V8 as well. Excellent video, shows the true passion of ownership. While highlighting the uniqueness of the Stage 1 V8.

hi i own the same truck 4.6 wagon, and you said that you sail the truck down the road,i have always said driving this truck is like sailing. but you can fix the steering slop to almost none, fit the army steering box. i use mine for fishing on the beach crossing big sand dunes to acess the beach. this rover is so special that once you have one you cant sell it.mine has folding sleeping bunks, water tanks, fuel tanks, fridge etc.tam

As the saying goes, Land Rover, making mechanics out of motorists for over 70 years. I restore old Landies in Brisbane Australia, love the quirkiness. Great vid, keep the passion.

HeavyMetalConcepts Yes please and if you stick with the off-road/4wd theme that would be awesome. Not many people doing this in this type of format.
