Tom Dunn, Born in Boston for WGBH. William Pierce, Born in England for WGBH and New England programming.

"Rondo a G-Go" was composed in the 1960s by Andrew Adorian (alias Andrew Arvin). He was born Andrei V. Adorian on 27 November 1908 in Oradea, Romania and died 31 December 1974 in London, England. He graduated in composition and conducting from the Hungarian Music Academy, Budapest and was conductor at various operatic theaters in Hungary and Romania. He moved to England in 1960.

The US Sam Fox label put this out as part of their "Synchro-Fox" series in early 1967, based on RCA Custom matrix numbers assigned towards the end of 1966. Two of his compositions (including this) were intermixed with Syd Dale library music pieces.

Although WGBH-TV now broadcasts 24 hours a day, they should play this music with updated visuals and voice-over about WGBH (i.e. new studio location, etc.) once daily.....even if it's at 4 A.M.! This music is cool.

I suppose it would be a nice throwback to play it around 6AM to consider it the start of a new broadcast day.

Thanks for uploading this. Somehow this theme came back into my head and recalled it was the sign off from WGBH when I was a teen. I was surprised to find it on youtube. Thought I would never hear it again.

I think the one from 1989 is more peaceful and relaxing.
