Very very unusual to see Roth playing the ditch.

Revs300, Did you know that both Mark Roth and Earl Anthony are 2 of the best Bowlers that got inducted to the Pba Hall of Fame? Also, Keep up the good work on the uploads especially the Bowling Classics from the 1970s, 1980s, and 1990s.

It was great to see "Bo" Burton interview Dick Weber about Pete making his first telecast. Roth/Anthony showdown in the title match. Both players packing the pocket. Earl did get a great break to win it though. Great champion. Very professional. Roth too. I was really hoping Roth would win this one. Long Island was in his "backyard". He grew up in Brooklyn. His wife Jackie was there with him on Saturday. His ball driller, Bob Simonelli, was hopeful. Fond memories for me because I taped every single one of those winter telecasts. As always, excellent announcing from "Bo" Burton.😀

Dick Batista. I bowled a pro am with him in the late seventies not long after he had his heart transplant.

Garden City Bowl one of Long Island best that is not longer there. What a shame!! Earl Anthony could do no wrong there it was his house.

The giant coughing sound emanating from your television screen is Mark Roth choking in the 10th frame.

Hey Mike, would you happen tp have the 1982 Cleveland Open? The gentleman that taught me to bowl when I was younger passed away recently, and that was the only telecast he made, and I cant find it anywhere. Regardless, thank you so much for this upload and have a great day!

23:11 Bo mentions Greg Shields....hes the guy that was bangin his ex wife Cissy when they split for a bit (and got back together) and owed Bo thousands(im not sure if she loaned him Burton bucks or what when they were split)...so Bo gave him a 2 piece and got suspended by the PBA. lol...
