1979 Pontiac Trans Am 6.6 Liter V8
RamblinAround Store: teespring.com/...
I thought you'd like a look at this beautiful 1979 Pontiac Trans Am. The black paint on this car is nearly flawless...it truly has a mirror-like finish. Under the hood, you'll find the big 6.6 Liter, 403 Cubic Inch V8. The engine has been painted in the correct factory color and really looks immaculate. Inside, the black vinyl interior looks outstanding as well. This is one of the nicest Trans Am's that I've seen in a while. I hope you like it...thanks for watching!

i owned a gold '79 identical to this. best car i ever owned. bought it new, there will never be another brand that so captivated youth in the '70's like this car did.
Getting ready to restore my 1979 yellow Pontiac Trans Am. I am so excited.

Did you ever finish it?
It really is a beauty. That paint is ultra slick.
It really does look great. I like the black on black...looks mean. Thanks for checking it out my friend. I'll add the info as soon as I get it.
Body Perfect, Paint Perfect!, such a mirror finish that the trans am in the spoiler was mirrored! Even under the hood it is stock to colors out of the factory. Perfect! Thanks for showing it to us!
My boyfriend had one in his early days lmao he wishes he never got rid of it he never knew it would be such a prized car to this day! He had honeycomb wheels... I never stop hearing about it. If I ever have the money one day I would love to gift him with his dream car he once had before!!!
I miss my 81 so so much. When your driving one of these everyone gives you the right of way and no one tailgates you. I remember always having so much room on the highway 😭

Was It The 301? Those Are Badass Great Engines Too.
Black and Silver looks AMAZING!
When I was 21 my brother convinced me to get the 1982 Datsun 280 Z...my heart was set on a Trans Am exactly like this one and i came close to getting it too, but we figured the gas and insurance would have been too much for me, not to mention the tires because you know I'd have destroyed a pair every summer.. i liked my 280 it was fun but man that TA is something else..driving that car is the pinnacle of muscle cars, beg to differ all you want but the TA is just amazing.
They really look great when they're restored like this one. That's cool that your Dad has one too.
I've never seen those type of tail lights either. I've always likes these TA's too.
I'm glad you like it. Thanks for having a look!
My childhood and teen fantasy car. Incredible thanks for sharing!
It's a beauty for sure!! I like the silver and black!! Thanks for gettin' back to me, I can rest easy now!!☺
This is one of the cleanest Trans Am's that I've come across. They did a great job on the restoration. Thanks for checking it out!
Thanks for watching, that's cool that your Dad has one. They really are great looking cars.
Thanks for taking a look Don, I appreciate it!
It's definitely one of my favorites too. Thanks for having a look!
I agree, it's always nice to hear them run.
They definitely did a great job with this one. It really is a beauty. Thanks for checking it out!
My brother had a 77 trans am. Brings back memories.
Yep, this one is really slick. That paint is ridiculously good. Sorry, it took me awhile to answer back. I actually stayed off the computer all day for once.
Thanks for taking a look my friend, I appreciate it!
I definitely like the look of them too. Thanks for checking it out!
That's cool that you saw one over there. Thanks for checking this one out!
Thanks for taking a look!
Yep, they did a great job on that paint. Thanks for taking a look my friend!
I like the front end styling of the 76's too. Thanks for checking out this 79, I appreciate it!
A video of my dreamcar that was uploaded on my bday... I wan't one so badly. I love Pontiacs
This Is A 403 Odsmobile California Spec Trans Am. The 403 Is A Monsterous Powerhouse With Gobs Of Low End Torque. Don't Let That Measley 185 Horsepower Number Disappoint You. These Engines Are Every Bit As Badass As The Pontiac 400 And 455. My Late Mothers 1977 403 Powered BUICK RIVIERA Was Able To Light Up The Back Tires And THAT Was A Fast Car. And HEAVIER Than The Trans Am I Might Add As Well.
All time favorite car from the 70s. Just gorgeous.
ITS REARLY FANTASTIC GREAT JOB FOR ALL THOSE WHO DID IT, KEEP IT UP. RENO
It really is slick. Thanks for taking a look!
for one of these exquisite examples I say forget about mpg it's all about smiles per gallon.....what an American Beauty
This really is a great example of a second gen. I like the third gen's a lot too. Thanks for taking a look!
It really does look great and this one has really slick paint on it. Thanks for taking a look!
Thanks for taking a look Wheelman. It definitely is a nice one.
I owned a black 79 TA with TRoof back in 1981. Loved that car 0-60 in 6 seconds. I put low gear ratio in the the rear end and it would catch rubber when 2nd gear kicked in.
I really like it too. Thanks for checking it out!
It really does look mean in that black. I like the silver bird too. Thanks for watching!
I ordered a 79 trans am new from Pontiac. no t tops, no power windows. I bought the black one and orders the silver bird not gold and got the good suspention package as well with the 8 inch wheels and disc brakes. I had the 6.6 litre olds engine automatic with the slapstick shift. when warranty ran out I punched out the gas filler so I could run leaded gas and removed the converter and had duel exhaust all the way back. it ran like a house on fire. would spin rear tires changing from 1st to second in drive.

Yeah I know that's why I ordered mine. I had a 1976 one first with the Pontiac 400.
It really is an awesome car. Whoever you had do the paint, did an amazing job. It really is the nicest 79 that I've seen.
LOVE those TA's.... I had a factory black '80 once... the tail lights lit up T/A on both sides. I never seen that option anywhere ever again...
I'd like to see it out in the sunlight to be sure, but it definitely looks slick. Thanks for watching Greg!
It really is a nice one. Thanks for taking a look!
It is one of the nicest I've seen. Thanks for checking it out!
Man this makes me want to fix my dads sooo bad beautiful cars
This car is incredible! I have this exact car w the silver bird like this. I've owned it since 1984, (bought it when it was 4 1/2 yrs old and have babied it ever since. I thought mine was in great shape, (which it is), I'd rate it a 9.35, but looking at this one it even tops mine, as I don't see ANY flaws whatsoever!! The only dif here to mine is that mine has the black cloth seats. I wish I could post a pic of mine here, but WOW to the owner of this one!!
You're welcome, and I try to watch as many of your videos as I can!
I actually prefer the Trans Am over the Corvette's from that time period. This is a particularly nice one too. Thanks for watching my friend, I appreciate it!
It's a restoration...I've never seen a factory Trans Am with paint that slick. Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
Now that's a sweet TA .. And very slick ......
A friend had a 1979 Silver Anniversary TA back in the day. Always wanted one! This one looks beautiful.
Yep, a lot of people miss the firebirds. I still can't believe that Pontiac went away.
What a gorgeous T/A! That paint looks like it was just sprayed! Love the color combo.
love the shiny paintwork, its immaculate, as for the rest of the car, what can i say, its sooo desirable
WHAT A BEAUTIFUL F'ING CAR!!!! PUTS MY '79 T/A TO SHAME!! And mine's won trophies at various car shows in the Cleveland, OH area.

MY PLEASURE!!! You just don't see these on the road anymore, which is such a shame!!! I bought mine at an auction on September 11, 1987. Did most of the work myself, with a friend's help, of course and I've kept ALL paperwork. I have a pic of me & the car on my computer but have no idea how to 'share' it. I work online on one of those 'cam' sites & it's there in my photo gallery...one of these days...

That is one gorgeous Trans am! Gateway always seems to have a nice selection of Pontiac performance. 👊👍
It really is a great looking car. Thanks for taking a look at it. Good luck with yours!
Very nice! I had a 79 with the root beer brown color/ gold metallic flakes, the 403 olds but I had the T-Tops. I miss that car!
I sincerely appreciate it Don.
I'm the same way, I've always liked these Trans Am's....probably caused by seeing Smokey and the Bandit when I was little :)
absolute beauty
Wow, by far one if my favorite TransAms. And in my FAVORITE TransAm color for that year. So eye catching. Can't wait for the specs. Thanks Jeff
Looks real good
It has a 4 barrel carburetor. Thanks for taking a look my friend!
I like how the front end is lowered a bit. Gives it a cooler stance. TA's can look a bit dorky when that front end is sitting too high.
very nice colour combination, beautiful car, thanks for the vid. one day i will own one of these...well hopefully ; )
That has the Oldsmobile 6.6L 403 i just saw in the heading again thats a beautiful car!!
It does look good in black. Thanks for watching!
Thanks Jos, I appreciate that!
Just a beautifull car Jeff ! Just the right color for it to. And the pro walkaround as useall buddy.
That is funny running across this video! I was in Missouri last weekend and I went to the San Diego Chargers @ Kansas City Chiefs game. And while I was at La Quinta Inn, I got this little pamplet from the lounge to a big classic car collection and they have auctions/sales. Just seeing this T/A alone makes me want to go let alone seeing a Eleanor!

This was the car I learned to drive on when I was 15. As I got closer to 16 I assumed my parents where going to give it to me. After they hinted nothing I asked them shortly before my birthday. They just laughed. Hello chevy s-10! Lol
Yep, this one is very slick. Thanks for watching!
I love a black car when it's clean but that doesn't last long.

Beautiful car!! To me the 80's third gen Trans Am's looks the best and '79 is right after.
"Engine turned" is probably the most common term for it.
I'll post the price in the info section as soon as I find out.
Yep, and this is the last year for the 400 and 403.
Nice car!
Thanks for watching, I appreciate it!
