Just find a 208 or np241 for temporary use they both have a better low then the gear drive unless it's a 203/205 combination

I was thinking about a 241. The 90 I had a while back had a real nice low range in it. I was going to put a slip yoke eliminator on it but ended up getting rid of it.

The 203 has a differential In the transfer case and will either let the front or rear spin or Sometimes both. But most I've seen it let's the front wheels spin before or the back breaks loose. It takes Less force to break one front tire loose the both back. Plus Takes More torque to turn the back then the front bc of the length of the rear drive shaft. The longer The shaft to more torque it takes to turn what's on the end of it.

Sweet. Don’t know much about the 203 as far as how stout they are but that’s kind of neat. Was hoping it could go into front only for some tight trails. You get your Jeep back out in the woods yet?

I prefer the full time 4wheel drive because you can’t use part time 4 wheel drive on pavement.

It’s just odd. We drove it out to my daughters graduation party which is about 25 min drive and the rear drive train only has power if it’s in 4 high or 4 low. If you put it in high or low it only has power going to the front. Had to unlock the front hubs and run it in 4 high to be able to drive it out there back. Definitely not used to a full time case.

That’s always an option. She was trying to find a slider window for it. The first thing I said was plexiglass. It’s not like it’s going to be doing 100 down the freeway.
