1978 Ludwig Big Beat kit: all finished (and it sounds incredible!)
Here it is guys, the culmination of a couple months worth of work. I'm extremely happy with the results, despite my playing being incredibly sub-par since I've been out of the game for so long. Feel free to leave any comments you might have, but go easy on my terrible drumming! 🤣

Dave's Drum Depot was owned by Dave Fogle, a great drummer and big inspiration for my drumming career. I lived in NW until I moved to San Diego in 1991. Cheers!
They sound great, esp. the bass drum.
Those are great drums and you’ve done them justice . You should be proud to own those . I’ve got a 1972 Rogers set in Black Diamond Pearl and gone through a lot of the same stuff you did as they all need that attention paid to the seams etc over time . I bought mine new in ‘72 and will never get rid of them . There’s nothing like the vintage classic stuff . And the Black Diamond Pearl finish is as classic as it gets . Rock on sir !

Thank you for the kind words, much appreciated! I absolutely love these drums and will never part with them - they are a source of pride for sure! When I finally kick off and leave this world (hopefully several more decades from now), my kids will have to fight over them. 😎
