Over the years I've restored many Jaguar Mk1s and Mk2s and in never ceases to amaze me how much the original red leather changes colour with chemical pigment aging and UV damage.
When these Jaguars came out of Browns Lane the red interior was vey vibrant. Fortunately Jaguar, along with most British manufacturers, provided samples of their leather colours to the aftermarket each time they changed them.
This means for Jaguars I can get the exact leather colourant from the period, thus allowing me to restore the existing leather back to its original colour. I hope you enjoyed the transformation of this Jaguar back to its former glory ?
