In today’s video you will see a beautiful 1974 Gran Torino - Starsky and Hutch. 2Everybody in their 40s and more, remember the famous TV Show “Starsky and Hutch” featuring Paul Michael Glaser (Starsky) and David Soul (Hutch) and the red 1976 Ford Gran Torino with the white stripe. I grew up in the ’70s and ’80s. I was a fan of the shows from the era, and the TV series Starsky & Hutch was a big one for me. For anyone who has ever watched the series, more pertinent because that was the actual time of the Gran Torino as well, the “Zebra Three, come in” phrase is an instant throwback. This was perhaps the first time in the history of the car shows that a car became the actual hero
No matter which Ford you are a fan of whether: the Ford Gran Torino, the Gran Torino Sport, the 1972 Gran Torino, the Ford Gran Torino Wagon, the Ford Gran Torino Elite, you will love this video!

I hope my Classic Car ChitChat videos make you smile. I do them in my spare time because I truly love cars and my intentions are simply to honour the beautiful cars I get to see and to really understand the passion and love of the vehicle by the driver (or caretaker as Jay Leno would say) of the car. I also understand too that my videos perhaps lack the polish calibre of great KZreadrs like: Doug DeMuro, Scotty Kilmer, and of course my favourite Supercar Blondie. I also know that I can’t even come close the quality & finish you get from the likes of Jeremy Clarkson and the boys at Top Gear. I think they use a little fancier equipment than my little iPhone… LOL
Mission Statement:
My Objective through creating these videos is to shine the spotlight on people who love their vehicles whether it be a car, motorcycle, or even a bicycle…. Bottom line is if it has wheels and you love it then let’s show that passion to the world!
Equipment Used:
Camera
- Just an iPhone 14 Pro Max (Nothing fancy - which proves anyone can use whatever you have handy to make a video… you don’t need really expensive equipment)
- I also use Insta 360X2 which is perhaps one of the best investments I have made and allows me to capture some really cool 360-degree views and also creates a “drone like” effect with the invisible selfie stick attachment.
Gimbal - DJI OM4 - For that ultra-smooth cinematic look. (To be honest... still not quite sure how to use it but one day I will figure it out!)
Audio - Rode Wireless GO II (I gotta be honest… this is really the biggest investment that was made… I wish there was a cheaper option but after the first couple of videos I soon realized that audio quality is important and hopefully better than the onboard mic on the iPhone!

Frankie, wow that’s amazing, growing up in the UK so many people would put the similar stripes on a Ford Capri.. about as close as you could get in the UK back in the day. Hey Kevin, like you I too grew up watching the Starsky and Hutch show. Looking at this car brought back such great memories of the car. It was always one of my favorites and I also had a thing for the cute Hutch. 🥰🥰🥰🥰

Fantastic car and another brilliant video. I watched the TV show as a kid and always thought the car made the show. Just like the Ferrari in Magnum.

Naybur, yes a sad day for us all.. as you said may he RIP and he will always be looked as the voice of reason in the dynamic duo. A beautiful car and great to see such an icon back on the road. I think the original was a 74 if I'm not mistaken. They went through dozens of the Torino while shooting the TV series. I personally prefer the Sport version. Another fantastic video.
