Bernard Falk reports from the Yorkshire seaside town of Hornsea where (in a clear case of nominative determinism) the council has decided to allow nudists onto their beach.
How has news of this nudist beach gone down with the good people of Hornsea? The intrepid reporter bares all in an attempt to get to to the bottom of the story, and see if he can find anyone - other than he - who would dare to brave the chilly Yorkshire coast au natural.
Note: This clip is about naturists, not "naturalists", as Mr Falk states in error…

That was brilliant , pure comedy, Especially the old guy at the start who thinks nude sunbathing will be the start of a crime wave of people's homes being burgled and resulting in the total destruction of the town 😂

good olde Bernard Falk NATIONWIDE intrepid reporter. He would go round to find strange and funny stories but was a firm family fav. sadly I think he passed away in his late 40s or early 50s We could do with someone like that now rather than the wooden reporting on BBC Breakfast or GMTV and similar. is there any more of Bernard? thanks

Bernard falk passed away on the 4th August 1990 aged 47 of a heart attack.

Although I was only a kid, I remember enjoying him presenting/narrating "Now get out of that" A kind of prototype hybrid of reality tv and "I'm a celebrity" mixed with orienteering. Great social viewing even then! There were even UK vs US editions. There are a few clips here on KZread. Why don't the BBC release all their archive materials of shows like that?! Surely there is no financial benefit left in it.
At 1:50 the old man gives a stern look to the policeman, (the HANDSOME policeman!) who can be seen smiling before dropping the smile he sees the camera turn toward him. The policeman was young and was amused by the old man’s rant

Fahrenheit was the normal way to express temperature in UK back then. Not sure when it changed to Celsius / centigrade.
I lost it when the old ladies said "we think they ought to have some men as well" about the nude mannequins
Shows you how many people are sexaully and mentally immature about nudism. Nudisium is not about sex. It's about body exeptance and tolerance without judgment. When all walls are down and everyone shows their true self without clothing, everyone is the same. You identify a person by their body shape and not the person wearing clothes. It is a positive feeling being free of clothing, free of judgment, and everyone is happy. Not judgemental, immature, and negative wearing clothes.
Even the dog has a strong opinion about nude sunbathing.
Take me back to this simpler time..

Nearly 50 year old clip yet with far more funyet showing a variety of peoples reactions than just about any current affairs piece on today's tv or even streaming sites like this. It's not a problem, but is on a public beach. Should be a private beach with an age limit and security, just my opinion
