Never seen a player be so involved in brief highlights. Dalglish even at a young age was immense

Maradona, Zico, Pele, Cruyff, Best etc etc. Go watch some brief clips of them.

Wish we had more games today with that sort of drive and commitments

Er.. tin hat on - as a regular attender of Scotland matches at Hampden in the 1970s, my abiding memories are of Dalglish being slow and losing possession to cries from the crowd of "for f*s sake Dalglish..." Doubtless a great player for Liverpool but for Scotland he didn't have the same influence.

@blackferdinand2260 He played as an attacking midfielder this match, but played almost the same even when he played as a striker.

Always thought Dalglish was a bit overrated, he looked very cumbersome at times.

There wasnt much difference in class back then between England and Scotland teams

It wasn´t Kenny´s best game in a Scotland shirt.

With Daglish around Scotland was nowhere in world football. Kick and rush kind of football...
