I was relieved when you said "bedliner" all the work to clean up the bottom "BEDLINER" is the ONLY WAY. To go! Other veiwers may ask "WHY?? Rubberized under coat is a one part spray ( no hardner )...it softens when hot and becomes gooey. In this state it collects rocks dirt. When it cools it locks in the dirt it picks up...it repeats this cycle and gets dirty and gray and heavy. Eventually a rock hits it and it falls off in small sheets as it becomes brittle. Bedliner is two part urethane that drys like plastic .Plastic like a gas can plastic. It takes scruffs and scraps it repells water and dirt. It blocks out any moisture , it stays black doesnt fade or turn brown. Any 2 part bedliner ( bedliner with hardner) is far far far superior than ...undercoat....! So many people buy the techno toys / Arizona Z car aluminum mustach bar. Great for "RACING"........But must be evaluated as a street car even some time track car. You ( other veiwers)dont want a race car suspension if you love driving on the roads. The factory mustash bar.. Is designed to flex Which in a light car makes it driver freindly. You want to improve the handling up grading to urethane bushings will take plenty of play out for street and track. Race Car Only buy the Aluminum moustache bar , but get ready for a noisered much harder ride in bumps , pot holes, even speed bumps. Compromise ,road ,lightly stiffer, you want some flex to keep a smile on your face....you dont want to limp back to your daily driver. The Z is a real Sports Car it performed very very well in its day. To day it 40+ years old. New rubber bushings today are made of a stiffer harder rubber( more synthetic based then the 1970s natural rubber based) New bushings , replacing 40+ old bushings will make the Z feel new and fresh. The steering rack mount bushings should be urethane. The lower control arm bushing should be urethane. The tension rod bushings should be rubber on the front side and urethane on the back side. So the new rubber absorbs the shock to the chassis. Steering rack mount as mentioned urethane BUT the steering shaft coupler should be New rubber , so your wrists dont take the shock of the front tires. Lowering the car by springs or adjustable coils from factory height is GOOD .Especially on a 280Z as they were raised higher than a 240Z. Sway bars stock diameter is good urethane mounting bushings will amplify it effect rubber endlink bushings will smooth out the transitions good on street highway and once in a while track days.Again "improve it doesnt mean over doing it with big bars and all urethane. Good tires...like extreme summer tires. Is like throwing better brakes on your Z. And high performance brake pads and shoes is better than a big brake up grade, for the street and even track days. 7-8" wide wheels 15-16 " diameter Keeps street and track driving fun with out fighting the steering in parking lots or track days. If you are building a trailer/ track car...disregard everything I say. You will be spending alot less time driving your Z.

I have used bedliner previously...as i learned that "undercoating" does not "dry" completely. So, I found it out of necessity....
