If you still think its too loud with those, mine WAS like that too with that part throttle snapping, I went with Dynomax Super Turbo, 3" inlet and outlet. Still a nice sound, not TOO quiet, but it got rid of all that snapping and popping. Good sound at idle, part throttle and wide open. I had Jegs Flowmasters 2 chamber.

Just to confirm lol the 9000 will be a little more tame then open headers? Mine sounds so good without mufflers but one of the loudest trucks I've ever heard.

I just had to 9000 series installed on my hemi heavy duty ram and it sounds awesome. These mufflers are way under rated and really sound great.

B BODY gas tank from a 94-96 Impala SS, Caprice, Roadmaster. I had to cut the C-channel on frame a lil’ and cut a piece of the floor clear the top of the sender. I’m just going to use that as a access hatch instead from trunk.

@@Moparbarnett88 I had to trim the rear frame C-channels a bit. I also had to cut a piece of the trunk floor pan out to clear the hump where the fuel pump sits. I also made my own gas tank straps. I have a couple videos on it.

Aborigine Dread For me it was just ease of installation. It was easier to install the H-Pipe Kit on my car. Depending on the car, X-Pipe can be a bit more of a challenge. I really wasn’t worried about performance as it will be just a weekend cruiser, show and street car. General rule is X-Pipe will give you more power in the higher RPMs and H-Pipe will give you more torque on the low band of the RPMs. They both flow really well. Some say that H-Pipe will give your more of a Muscle Car Sound. Not sure how true that is, but you have heard mine.😎 I would just say do a lil’ research and depending on your application and driving, go with the one that will suit your build best.

Yeah you just convince me to go with the spin tech on my ls swap 89 caprice

paul currier I’ll take a look. I’ve tuned it a bit more since and it sounds a lot better and parameters are looking pretty good. So we’ll see if that resolves it.

Not a bad choice. 9000 are loud.

I installed these on my 77 trans am 400. Has an h pipe. 2.5” piping. Sounds way way different than any videos I’ve watched. It’s honestly really really bad. I was super bummed. I went back to my dynomax ultraflos

Car has been in the shop for months. Not much content on it as of now, but I did just get word it’s all primed again and my interior is being started. So that’s good. I’m hoping to have one soon for y’all. Thanks for checking in.

I'm glad that you DIDN'T put an X pipe on it. I hate that raspy sound.
