And to be fair, it's a pretty nippy car. Considering it's from 60 odd year ago, it's not what you would call slow. Lovely little car. 😌

My father owned one like this. It was a 1970 model, burgundy color. It had the tan interior, just like this one. I drove it throughout the 90s. He had three Alfas: the Berlina, a 1971 Giulia Super 1300, and the 1966 Spider Duetto 1600, which he still owns.

I hope my '68, 1750 Berlina runs as well as your's. It's about 7-9 day's away from an 80% restoration, that's been head-up-against-a-brick-wall at almost every task undertaken. But, should it start, it'll be a weight off my mind.

I am so in love with everything about this car, especially the sound of the engine as it spools up.

This car is awesome! I just love the raw and luxury feeling of old cars, you feel like you're connected with the vehicle. Today's cars now drives you and do anything for you which is not a bad thing either, but this could be a nice Sunday car.

My Dad drove this car. USA version. Had head rests and wooden sterring wheel. Crimson color outside. As little kids my sister and I used to love riding in this with my Dad. What fond memories this brings back... Cheers.

Quando Alfa Romeo produceva queste vetture, gli altri erano lontani (dietro) anni luce. La base meccanica della Giulia dona (rispetto alle successive Transaxle) brillantezza in più alla vettura. Ed ulteriore particolare prontezza del 1750 fu donata dalla adozione della testata del 1600, così da mantenere alta velocità delle colonne fluide nei condotti.... Si perdeva ovviamente qualcosa in alto per le maggiori perdite di carico, ma tale "prezzo" valeva la grinta in più ai bassi e medi regimi.....

I had one in the 1990's, 1971 Berlina, It was new in New Zealand, RHD. Mine had twin brake boosters as standard and a set of twin Solex 40mm. They gave the same out put as Webers and Delortos. In the factory at the time it depended on what stock was available as they would only order when they were low hence what the supplier had at the time. In clubman racing, the fight with Mk 2 Jags but loose to them on the straight, but bet them through the bends. To drive them, use the revs and try out tight windy roads, the first three gears are all that is needed. They are thirsty in town and better on long trips. They are to be driven with spirit and not creeping in traffic. Use the tone and pitch of the engine to drive it. The electrics are of the ilk of Lucas, Prince of Darkness. Most Berlinas will usually die of rust. The motors are lest flogged as the Spyders or the GT who always look for these as spares. A true drivers car for a skilled sportsman who needs a four seater. Bill Body wrote a great road test in 'Motorsport' when they came out and said they were one of the fastest and best drives from point A to point B.

A vulgata... Very strong almost-racing cars hidden under mass-produced cars. THE best in the world then. They only required the right maintenance

Per qualche anno ne hò avuta una, ai suoi tempi praticamente non aveva concorrenti nel suo segmento, in basso spingeva più della 2000 che le sucedette, gran bella macchina, unico suo diffetto, le lamiere non zincate come tutte le alfa finchè non le adottarono.

Nice Berlina but not a 1971. Likely a 68 or 69. Note the pedals hinged at the floor and lack of cold air snorkel.

Wonderfull the most beautiful 1750 I've seen here on youtube according to better interiors of 1750 are nicer than 2000

The police would use the 1600 giulia super at the time and not the 1750 Berlina but the 1750 / 2000 were definitely popular with bank robbers .

Non è del 1971 NO!! Questa è la prima versione, dal gennaio '68 a novembre (Salone di Torino) '69 riconoscibile per il volante in "plastica" nera. Successivamente divenne in legno e le luci di posizione ed indicatori di direzioni non furono più posizionati sul paraurti ma, dal novembre '69 sulla carrozzeria, sotto i fari.
