So one more time because I can`t live with how everybody blame all those poor italians haha.....The tacho is not broken. It is impulse tachometer which was used in old racing cars and this is the way it behaves. This thing counts engine revs in specific interval.
@tiagobelo4965
Жыл бұрын
the ole "blow it before you know it" tach, they always look weird, but at least they dont float around when the RPMs change a little too fast
As an owner of such a 1300cc Sprint, I can only say, this is one of the nicest cars. Once warmed up, the engine revs nicely and pulls strongly. I own a series of Italian classics, some much more expensive. I have to settle on one car only, this is the one. Reliable, cool, perfect.

I owned exactly the same car. Very reliable, powerful once hot. We made long range rallies with it (Liège-Rome-Liège, Coupe des Alpes, among others), strictly no mecanical problem. So yeah, you can drive it on long ranges.
Beautiful, would love to drive something like this one day.
This car gives a whole new meaning to "running like clockwork" lol
Wow, just wow, this sounds heaven
What a legend 🇮🇹
This was so relaxing to watch
It sounds sooo good minus the malfunctioning tach. Thought it was the fuel pump at first or something XD

haha me too! But then I remembered it was an electric pump and did not make that sound when priming. It made for a fun drive though....Like a metronome keeping me on pace

Love the lightweight. Owned a 63 1600 Sprint and drove a 1960 Sprint Veloce. Owned GTJ and 1750 GTV. Loved them all.
The car is titled misleadingly. It is a Lightweight model (one of a few hundred models) with aluminium boot, bonnet and doors and not a "normal" Sprint Veloce. The rev counter is working perfectly. It has a chronometric movement which "samples" the engine speed hence the jerky needle motion and moving tell-tale. A classic racing car instrument (or contemporary copy with the built-in jerky action). BUT as a result no oil pressure gauge which I would have thought was vital.
WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!! gorgeous car, mint condition & driving in the outskirts of Boston....
beautiful
My God this is pure beauty, i would buy one of these to go out on sundays. Just for that
That SOUND!!!

Delightful car, I don't really enjoy the videos exclusively driven in city traffic however. Those engines just start to wake up where you've been shifting.
Nothing bets the sound of a classic throaty NA 4 Cylinder.
Man you are one lucky guy
Nice engine sound.
I have a 1961 Alfa Romeo Giulietta Sprint Veloce that has steel doors, steel hood and steel trunk lid. I do not have sliding plastic windows but, the car is similar. I have been driving it since 1968 and it is a fun car to drive. I have not driven a 1956 or 1957 Sprint Veloce but, I drove a 1961 Sprint Zagato.
