My first bass was a 67 Gibson EB-O. I got it at 13 and I'm now 60, all original. Still love the Mudbucker but I added a DiMarzio P pup in the sweet spot 3 years after I bought it because I wanted a P bass but did not sound exactly like a P bass but the combination of both comes close. Have plenty of basses but still love my EBO.😊

Hi that's a 1971, they were the only EB-3's with the solid black scripted truss cover. I had a 71' around 2002-03, now I have a 70' all original no script cover all black. They also had some with solid black / white trim truss covers.

love these, had one in my youth, now using an sg bass special....everyone forgets that most British invasion rock was recorded on short scale gibsons and epiphones. Love that you keep that low A going in "all right now" bass break, I thought I was the only one!

Beautiful! Great playing, too. Now you've got me jonesing for a slothead EB3L! I have a later one, an EB4 that someone put Thunderbird pickups in, and an SB350. That one sounds so good I guess I should be open to a shorty as well. I'll be looking forward to seeing your progress.

i would like to hear it with a better neck pick up and pick and tube head and round wound string ,by the videos i ve always had the feel that you kind get the rick ringing tone,but with more low end , and huger sound overall, i love the varitone i guess it is like the ripper one,

Hi, Joe, thanks for your video. Nice art piece. I have an Eb0 same slot head, modified as an EB3 The bridge pickup is misssing ,,,im gonna try the Artec. ..What caliber do you recomend for round wound strings? 95 or 100? Hi from Argentina, thanks!
