Short Skirt Long Jacket by Cake is in one of my dad's favorite movies called Waitress!!!!!!👍👍👍👍👍👍
This is the coolest bass I've ever heard/seen on this show. Awesome to hear Primus and Cream but its kind of unfortunate you didn't play any Mountain.
Wow I'm not a bass player but that slotted headstock kinda gave me a little excitement. Keep up the good work guys and Jen we are all sure you will do great when you take over for a bit.
I dont think i ever commented before now. I love the styles of each guitar y'all do :) keep rockin out Mark!
I used to play this bass in a band I'm in and Used to really enjoy playing it, the neck felt very comfortable and sound wise, yep it was a beast.
What a nice bass i love it sounds awesome great tunes today Mark thanks
Beauty Mark.....I watch every day and i LOVE it...You have got me back into my guitars after 25 years!!! Well i'd LOVE to hear you play an ICONIC bass line....Michael Jacksons Billie Jean... THX Ken in Canada
Fun fact: The dot over the I that the logo is missing is called a tittle.

I have the same bass, same year. Nice to know that the lack of dot on the 'i' is normal. That mudbucker on its own is insanely boomy and I love it.
I used to have an EBO.bass in a walnut finish ,tricked it out added a pickup wired in stereo. It was fine.Another tale of another one bites the dust. Keep up the good work on the bass guitar Wednesday 🎸 👍 👌.
That slotted headstock is straight up gorgeous.
Wow I love those EB-3s and I love Jack Bruce, my favorite classic rock bass player. I had no idea they made a long scale EB-3. For years I've been railing against Epiphone for making their EB-3 a 34" scale and not 30.5" which is what I thought the proper vintage-correct scale was. Still I think most of them were short scale and I believe that a big part of their characteristically "loose" and grungey sound comes from that.
Hey mark, can you play some cat Stevens tomorrow for my late grandma? He was her favorite artist! Her favorite song was if you want to sing out sing out!!

Jack Carlson My deepest sympathy to your loss brother. By the way, mark saw your comment and he did play cat stevens on flattop friday
You killed it on the last one! Awesome bass.
And don't forget that one EB-3 bassline that after 54 years you know is STILL rumbling across this country every day somewhere on the radio: "All Right Now", by Free. Played by the late great Andy Fraser
That's an awesome Bass. Kick ass as usual Mark
Thanks for finally getting in some Primus, Mark. Les Claypool is one of my favourite bassists and is a huge influence for me, so I'd love to maybe see some more riffs from him in the future (Case in point, I'd love to see _My Name Is Mud_ done on a 5-string if you ever do one)
Nice. I was just given a 1969 EB3 for Christmas. Liked the Primus there at the end.
this video was the best part of my day!
Awesome. I love these basses.
Thanks Mark!!!!!!!!!!!! Great playing as always! WYNONA'S BIG BROWN BEAVER!!!!!

Nice job on the Primus 😂👍🎸 I'm impressed. My Thumpin Thursday was great because I got my Markagnesi.com tees one day early! Thanks 🍻
Lovely bass. Mark you are becoming a pretty good bass player
Joe Bonnamassa has a EBO F bass. With the built in fuzz. That would be a cool bass to find.

Eric faley yeah saw that on the Nerdville Reverb vid. is there a guitar or bass Bonamassa doesn't own ???!!! 😂
The late great Andy Fraser of Free used one.
Nice! and a brave attempt by Mark to keep that 5/4 time signature going on the intro to White Room
I need this Bass in my life!
Like the sound & look of this bass.
Primus !!!!! Great job Mark ... Hi Jen
Mark you are a fuckin' great bass and guitar player. Sounds always great.
Outstanding, man and woman - that's a bigmouth bass
Never thought I would hear Mark play primus!
This is a wonderful little bass. I own a newer Gibson SG style bass & I love it. Not to knock Fender “P” basses and others like it, but these Gibson basses not only sound really ROBUST & RICH, but they FEEL exceedingly comfortable! If you want that cool, retro Jack Bruce sound, this is the bass for you, no doubt about it!
I recently came into a barely-used Gibson EB-3L (1974-75 model with the 3-point bridge, 20-fret fingerboard, non-slotted head stock, and signature "Mudbucker" pickup moved closer to the middle of the body). Couldn't find an amp to plug it in to so I kept scouring YT for any vids featuring the one I currently have in my possession. Must be a rare bass indeed because I only found less than a handful of uploads that had the regular short-scale EB-3 with similar characteristics and just ONE that had an EB-3L matching the exact description of mine (O_O)! I agree, it's a very cool bass with a vintage ground-shaking bottom sound that you simply can't get with today's more modernized basses. Too bad Tarzana's a bit out of my "comfort zone" distance-wise, would've loved to bring mine in and let Mark have a look at it personally... >:-)
Wauw! My little cave is literately shakin' with that first position :)
Nice usage of the highest possible note on the fretboard there. Good one.
Wow! What a great yuuuge sound!
What kind of watch is mark always wearing? Looks like some sort of chronograph, I've been interested.
Guitar of the day is a highlight for me
hey this was uploaded on my birthday :)
Props to you Mark for hooking the guy up with Primus
Love SG basses! You made Primus sound doomish, and it was awesome. I think the slotted headstock makes it a weird ass category instrument.
I have a friend that had this same model bass. Hes had it since he was a teen .
I love slotted headstocks and I've never seen one on an electric guitar or bass before. Plus, it has a great variety of tones. This might be my new favorite Gibson bass. If I had the money and it didn't have frets, I'd buy it in a heart beat.
I love this frikin channel 👍Tow a tapping. Hi jen.😊
another bass you havent done is a gibson ripper, grabber, or g3 it would be cool to see that on the next thumpin thursday

Great bass!
Lovely. Thanks
I'm doing eb3L research and just found this video. I had an eb3L w/ orig case for well over 30 years and recently traded it for a Gibson firebird guitar. I recorded with that bass and loved the low end! I now have a Squire affinity jazz bass, an epi Thunderbird and eb3, and a rogue violin bass. They all play well and sound good. So, what did your eb3L sell for? Cheers!
That thing sounds great.
1st: “Snuffed in Puffy Pants“ by The Harmless 2nd: “Happy Sprinkles“ by The Catapulted Sun Dials 3rd: “Jesus Had a Cat“ by Lippy and the Balmettes 4th: “Don’t Go Busting My Chips“ by Big Chief Thunderbag and the Swinging Walnuts

Also Pat Daugherty of BOA & also Dennis Dunaway until after he switched to a J Bass after "Love It To Death". It's Funny, Daugherty also switched to a J Bass on later records..............Dunaway's green "Frog" EB0 also had a P pups added to the sweet spot & has little speckled mirrors all over it similar to his "Billion Dollar J-Bass". It must have taken hours to do.............
Damn, Mark, you really are a really good Bass player, just a great musician, at any guitar, IMO......leif
Hahaha, the Browns? For real?😂😂 not only are you a great guitar player, you're quite the comedian as well Mark! Beautiful bass
There you have it!
That is one sweet bass.
Dammit!!!! Now I need to find one of these too??
Killing it
When are you coming back to resume your show. Sure do miss seeing it. And you of course.

Happy THUMPIN' Thursday everyone! The Cream always rises to the top! Gotta love that headstock!
It's been a looong time since you did a Jazzmaster 🙃
That's one thumping bass!!!!
I adore slotted headstocks!

We should send Mark to Florida with that bass and a massive stack to drive that hurricane back where it came from!
do an old vox guitar!
That old thing sounds good. :)
Feel that bass!
What's your opinion of this particular Fender Rumble?
Schools out! Hey is this bass still available please?
Peter Cetera of the band, Chicago, had played a 1969 Gibson EB-3L during his early years with the band.
You have guts playing Primus!
Had a chance to get a Gibson EB-4L but I never did which was a stupid decision. Hey Mark can you do an Aria pro ii bass if y'all ever get one there
Hello I have an eb3 stereo like the one in your video it was found in a house neer Woodstock in 1970 along with other pieces wondering if you could help me figure out if it was someone's bass from Woodstock
That's one nice bass
I don't know if you view the comments but I have a 1968 Gibson Thunderbird Bass custom color Turquoise. I was wondering what your thoughts are on this Bass and have you ever reviewed this Bass.
HAHAHA!! You just played Primus with a pick. I fucking love this show. ;)
I can dig it.

Mr.Stranger Les Claypool, it's dug 👍🏼
The infamous "Mudbucker" bass...........Funny how these are making sort of a comeback after being mocked for years & outsold by Fender big time back in the day. I think it sounds just great!
My best friend and yours, Mike Watt, played a 69 EB-3 for several years with the Stooges and his own stuff until their gear got stolen in 2008.
Have they ever done a video on a Gibson Grabber bass?
This is my desert island bass. David Bowie’s bassist from the Ziggy Stardust era Trevor Bolder used an eb3 and had the coolest mutton chops ever.
What is the second tune played?
Do a Gibson Grabber! Such a bad ass bass
Hey Mark. You do guitar and bass videos?
