Marrying the two is something Ive thought about many times. Love seeing this! That 68 is going to be an absolute blast to drive. Also...about to order a tune from you guys for my '16 F150 3.5l FX4. Same as below, parts are from 3.5 Transit for PS, but AC compressor items are for regular F150. The crate motor doesn't include those, but the standard F150 does so it's a factory replacement from Ford searching the 13-14 3.5 F150.

    MAN!...Finally Part 2!...So, Now How Much Longer for Part 3?...I am Just Saying! :-) I use to own a 66 Ford Mustang Coupe back in High School and I was thinking of doing a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6 EcoBoost and 10R80 10sp Auto Trans Swap! Along with a IRS setup! A couple of other ideas I was thinking of was a 71-75 Ford Pinto with a 2.3L Turbo 310HP engine swap with a 6R80 or 10R80 Auto Trans Swap! Again with a IRS! And my other idea was a 75 Mustang ll with either a 2018 Mustang 5.0L Coyote (460HP) or a 3.5L Twin Turbo V6 EcoBoost (365HP) engine swap with a 6R80 or a 10R80 Auto Trans and IRS! So, what do you Guys Think? Thanks and God Bless!

    I just stumbled on this channel and it looks like ecoboost swap is common here. I am about to build a drag truck and I'm thinking about using the 3.5 ecoboost. Are there any weird things to know or do when doing this swap? My build is actually gonna be VERY different I feel cause I'm building my 1989 s10, yes I'm putting a ford motor in a chevy! I'm a ford guy but I've had my s10 for 15 years. It was my first vehicle that my grandmother got for me when I turned 14. I did think about LS but like I said I'm a ford guy so.

    Each build has it's hurdles. Auto or Manual is a big question, then if you want big power or city torque. 5.0 crate is definitely easier.

  • @stevenwatts586

    @stevenwatts586

    6 жыл бұрын

    I am aware of the transmission situation, even though my truck is set up for a 5 speed I was thinking of just going automatic with it. in not too concerned about "power" per say, its more about the shock of s10 with a ford motor and its a v6 not even a v8.just something different and unexpected. everybodys putting ls motors in everything now so taking a vehicle that people would say ' of course it has an ls' but to then find out its an ecoboost, idk just different. I wont really need 1000hp or anything, its so light even with stock 4cyl. it was pretty quick. I know you were referring to the newer model 5.0 but I am a ford guy I actually have a foxbody with a 302 in it and another 302 out of a 93 gt that I was thinking about maybe using b4 I thought about the ecoboost.

    The priority hasn't really been time. It's a part time hobby/job for Todd. Very good work though and I trust him so no biggie for me. You could do this project in a much shorter time if it was your only task. Cost is getting up there. Car was $25k to start with, right now, unfinished it is around $58k including parts and labor. I do expect that to go up before completed.

    This is one cool project for sure like this Mustang looks beautiful and the Ecoboost is very powerful but the ecoboost engines will never have the soul and character nor make pretty girls smile nor feel they're bones like crazy like they would with a big mighty V8 and also a Coyote V8 will outlast the ecoboost engines as well.

    i think its a waste to do it to a 69 mustang should of done it to a mustang II or somthing not as collectable
