This vette is not mine. But i did help build the car 8 years ago or so, the owner is a Family member YOu d be supprised what you can do with poly glass tires when you actually work on your set up. Most Joe BLow people could never get them to hook up because they never really gave them a chance. Yes this car has a heater, am/fm radio, and power steering.

Always wanted a Vette and finally traded for one. It was a '68 Roadster with a blown motor. I traded a '75 Chevy Monza for it. I replaced the motor with a .30 over 454, solid roller cam, Airflow Research heads with a Chevy dual manifold and an 850 Holley. The trans was an M-21 and rear was a 4:88. McCreary 10.5 street slicks. The year was '79. After the motor was broken in, I added nitrous. Fun Saturday night car in the San Fernando Valley.

L88 included the special J56 heavy duty power brakes but power steering and radio both normal options were not available. The heater/defroster was included on all 68 and 69 cars, only the 67 was heater delete. Many other luxury options were available on L88 including tilt-tele wheel, power windows, leather seats and rear window defroster but the P02 wheel covers were not available.

Great time, i had a Yenko clone- 67 Camaro RS in the mid 70's, 427-425 with 4.56 gears, lousy 780 holley and i was getting about 109 mph, only raced it a few times in NH. I am sure with a 850 DP and a Tarantula intake i got have gotten substantially better, still the new Camaro is in the 12's stock, better than the glory days from a 'showroom' car. L-88 had a better cam but i doubt you haven't done a few internals-- youtube brings back great memories

+Kyle899 You clearly don't know anything about Corvette history or you're another butt hurt hater. Lol the ZR1 was offered in the C3, C4, C6, & C7 vettes. It's clearly obvious that new cars are much better than the old stuff. It's that way with any ultra high performance car period. The C3 vette dominated SCCA racing during that era just like the C6 has done very well in ALMS racing today winning 10 championships from 99-13. Not sure what your point is...

Ummm the c6 zr1 is super charged. It's not impressive if the L88 is hot on its ass in the quarter mile. You put slicks on the L88 it'll be a neck and neck race with the ZR1. You're comparing apples to oranges tho. The l88 is N/A.

Actually you are partially correct. No radio available in the L88 but the heater delete was 1967 only. In 1968 federal law required all cars to have functional defroster, which needs a heater to coincide with that. As a result, all 68 and 69 L88's had functional heaters and could not be deleted.

C7 Corvettes run really quick quarter miles and top speeds of over 190mph. This one with the 4.56 gears was red lined in final gear at about 105 mph(4th gear) C7 Corvettes have 7 manual rev-matching gears, or 8 automatic gears! New Corvette hands down is the best technology. Sorry loyalist!

Its faster than the C7's in a quarter mile. Remember, drag racing was the thing then.

You're way off Q Littleton............if that engine red-lined in 4th gear at "only 105 mph"......THEN PLEASE ATTEMPT TO EXPLAIN THEIR CONSISTENT ABILITY TO RUN 11 SECOND 1/4 MILE PASSES AT AROUND 125 mph. READ THE VIDEO DESCRIPTION. You can't get 11 second 1/4 mile passes at only 105 mph from a factory set-up........you're gonna be well over 115 mph to get 11's. And I DO know what I am talking about.

Q Littleton . Well this car red lines around 7000rpm. 1:1 with 4:56 amd the G70 15 poly glas tires. Its does between 123-125mph depending on the tune and weather. Not sure how you get 105mph in 4th?

Unfortunately, the Federal Exhaust Gas Fun Ban Ordinance (BABVVO) and Transport Tourism Emission Restriction Federal Ordinance (TEBBVO) will soon ban driving combustion engines in public outside of proven commuter trips and transport trips, because then exhaust gas fun WILL be a traffic offense!!!!!! Furthermore, a vehicle tax of 30,000 euros for exhaust gas-emitting combustion engines was threatened!!!!!!!!!!

I haven't seen any 1968 Hemi Cuda's/Dart's compete. Must not be allowed. Maybe because they were made for SS.
