I would imagine the generosity of so many viewers, subscribers, fans, and friends contributing to his go fund me, likely eased A LOT of stress in his life so that he can recover even more quickly. I never contributed to one before. I had to look in to how to do it. It was surprisingly easy. I didn't want to be left out of this worthy cause.

High Octane Classics should put the link to Steve's go fund me in the description of all future videos. It's an absolute miracle this man is still with us, and icing on the cake that he's back doing what he loves. God bless the medical people who kept this good man alive. This tragedy has now become the feel good story we so desperately needed. Steve, your recovery is also healing us. Thank you.

I prefer your phrase for the hood scoops - "Ram air for the people". Stunning color combo and the 4 speed/396 would be a LOT of fun with the A/C making it comfortable. You're looking better every day, keep healing. Thank you again High Octane Classics ~ Chuck

The Chevelle SS 454 in 1970 was in my opinion by far and away the best looking muscle car of that era. I know it was not the fastest, but it was the best looking. Especially in red with a black vinyl top and black stripes. Oh to have one today.

Hey Steve. That is a sweet car. The first thing I see when I look at a classic car is the wheels/tires. If it has ghettos, I don't give it a second look. That one may not have the proper wheels for the year, but they are not larger than 15" in diameter, so they are not ghetto. BFG Radial T/A RWL tires no less. Beautiful.

Those stock munci shifters sucked. I had one in my 69 elco with an m20. They were mounted to the crossmember, not the trans itself. At high rpm they would bind up and miss third every time. My car had a pretty hot lil small block that would rev to 7200. I ditched that shifter for the classic hurst super comp shifter. World of difference.
