Yes there is space between the shroud and radiator fins! I would not have mounted it this way if the gap was closed.

wasn't easier put just the fans directly on radiator w/o shroud? there are some radiator fan zip ties for that purpose.
Nice to see this old girl coming back to life The cars of my youth.
Nice build, I'm really anxious to hear that baby purr!
Love crusty looking cars that have solid looking mechanics. Can't wait to see you light 'er up!
I remember sitting in class back in April and May last year watching your charger videos and checking every other day to see if there was a new vid. Looking very forward to see it run!!
very good work! I am from Belarus, and we do not have such cars. It's very sad ... it's good that there are people like you who give new life to old cars. happy to subscribe to your channel!
I had at 18 a 69 charger RT 440 4 speed.Bought it from Parmer Dodge Indy July 70 for $1800.Great car,had a ball with it!! Good memories thanks
I'm glad we got somebody on yt that is doing cool cars. There are too many plastic supercars and not enough of these
Beautiful build!.. You brought it back to life and made it tear up the road once again so thank you for not letting it just rot in a junk yard and be forgotten!. 🙏🙏🍻
Always a fan of your work, cant wait to hear this thing start and see it drive. You have inspired me to start working on my challenger! Also thinking of starting my own channel. Keep it up!
Awesome cars brother, I have owned all those cars in this video, I still have the D100 truck and a 1970 dart , love seeing these cars keep the content flowing brother, thank you
The MSD kit looks slick in black.

Looks 100x better in black. Red is kinda getting old.
Just got done binge watching this series. What a build! I love it. I think painting the airboxcover turquois would be really nice. Or if you're brave, paint the whole foberglass hood turquois. I think it matches really well, I would like it.
Cant wait to hear it run
Love the radiator! Thanks fir sharing the info 👍🏻
#1 on the dizzy is usually around the 4 o' clock position, pointing towards the alternator (when it's in the stock position :)). But really you can put it anywhere you want depending on how you index the oil pump drive gear.
Its come a long way keep up the good work dude
I like the scatter affect of two fans rather than one straight on heating intake manifold
i´m so excited to see the car running.
I was getting ready to send you my remote start button that I haven't used in a while!! Glad to see that!!
Good job sticking with it and making it nice!
Thanks for the music over your sped up section! (Pet peeves of mine.)
i read it wrong i thought by ready to run it would've ran thanks for the blue balls. great video really gave me some awesome inspiration for my 1972 dodge dart build :)
Wow a nice haul there man! I like those continental belts I was using dayco on my 91 300c.i. ford and my 89 460c.i. and they squeaked like crazy then I swapped them for continentals and the squeak quit. They just seem way better quality and grooved nicer too
Hey there Dillon I really enjoyed the video can't wait for you to start it up man going to sound nice
Man that charger would have looked so good if you painted the engine bay like blended in the paint to make it look original especially that green it would have looked like a really lime lollipop with a shine but awesome!! Job man keep up the work really looking forward on watching more charger videos
cant wait to see her run. God bless
I for one can not wait to hear this beast fire up, the body is done the way you want it and that is all that matters,I myself think keeping it the way it is shows nostalgia
Holy hot damn! According from that intro you can do some good burnouts!
Amazing work.
Awesome car and awesome bible verse. Thanks man
Love the videos keep it up. Pretty cool that you put a Bible verse in your description. 👍
Gotta love the Hillman aisle. 👍
Looking good 👍🏽 I might go the same route on the ignition kit.
I haven't finished the video and I already know it'll be good!
Another great video! Keepm coming!!

Love your cars man the charger is my dream but the older I get the dream fades :/ but keep up the videos love them
Classic heater bypass I love it it's like the upper hose is playing a little croquet🇺🇸🚀🗽
Nice! Love you channel!
She's been dead forever and she's back nice job dylin
Nearly there. Good job with the spacers for the reverse fan shroud. It almost looks factory.
I've been waiting for ever
Can't wait until you fire it up!
Hey Dillon I just heard Steve dochec read your question on roadkill garage extra. That's cool. It seems like your all know each other. Like junkyard digs. Corvette Ben Jonathon w. Corks war motors. I think its cool that you reference each other. I'm enjoying all of you guys hope to do my own soon. I have a 66 galaxy and a 69 f100
amazing build ive been watching your challenger videos since day 1 the only coment i have is that your to clean to work on cars man i really like that hahahaha
Title should read almost ready to run!.... great build so far though.
Its looking good, Dylan. I would say I'm as excited as you to see this car running, but I suspect I'd be wrong. Although, I am really interested. :)
You lucky dog!!! Everything your doing looks badass! I hope you get sponsored by RockAuto soon! Keep up the good work.
haha i thought you’re gonna run it in this video... anyway Can’t wait !!!! this car is my absolute favorite 🥰
Awesome progress, some electric fans can run "backwards" so you can mount them in front of the radiator, that would look really clean. Keep up the great work.
Like a finish list or punch list for a renovation, moves to another stage in its life. as my old pal says, Cars that don't run are lawn ornaments.
Looking good, Enjoy the honest progress, no hate here, one note: I never had good luck with the MSD spark boxes, had two of the fail after about 4-6 months granted that was 30+ yrs ago,,,
Make sure you shield the starter from heat too. Learned the hard way with my barracuda.
Good job!
I use to hate bending and flairing line. But now that I'm older I find it therapeutic and much cheaper to do it myself
I bent all my brake lines on my 67 Mustang myself except 4 the brake line that runs down the transmission tunnel. I didn't want to mess with that so I ended up just purchasing pre bent from CJ Pony parts
There is a formed hose from the water pump. Just go get it at the parts store. It will go under the radiator hose. Lets get this started!
Giving me ideas for my car this summer, Don't know why i haven't tried to put sleeves on the spark plug wires yet, i melted a set last summer lol
Looking good..
Good job and of course building a driver is the name of the game. As we all know , the body panels are massive and really pop with a darker gloss paint job. If it's a money thing , keep saving and eventually paint it right . I'll bet you a case of beer that you eventually strip it down and spend the money on nice paint. It's a Charger , not a F100.
Love it ! Congrats on your progress . Heck if someone can't be patient for a 1969 440 Charger let 'em eat a rubber biscuit .. That's gonna be a sweet ride ! Thanks for sharing !

I watched a series of vids on the green 69.You got it running to go to a show on May 31.Didnt say what year.Would like to see after that.Still got it?Exterior paint?really enjoyed thanks
Dylan get a black poster board and use it behind what you want to show and the camera will focus quickly on hand held items. Excellent video and thank you for sharing.
First love it dude
Looks like there is a lot of room in front of that radiator. Have you considered mounting the fans on the front and reverse the wiring to make them a pusher?? Might be worth a look. Nice video I’m a first time watcher. Gonna sub for sure!
Awesome car
It looks really cool! Whats ur plan for the dents? Oh and how much did it cost when you bought it?
Like where this is going. Hell of a sleeper, more go than looks. Factory restore is cool but i prefer just a solid rolling chasis with a lot of go.
Whenever I swapped engines on my old ‘68 Charger 440, I never needed to remove the hood. Just leave it on. Try it sometime. It saves a lot of time.
@DylanMcCoolVideo
5 жыл бұрын
It only takes a minute to remove the hood, and you have a lot more room to work with. I always remove mine for work like that.
@mariomanti-gualtiero1228
5 жыл бұрын
True, it does only take a minute to remove. But putting them back on and getting it straight can be a pain sometimes. That 68 I had had a hood that had never been removed and I loved that perfect, factory alignment. I had a 71 Charger and I could never get that hood perfect after I removed it. It’s really not hard working with the hood on, I was quite surprised. We changed engines and transmissions a few times on that 68. An old mechanic turned me on to the idea of leaving the hood on when I was about to take it off the first time. I’m so glad he stopped me.... I just assumed it had to automatically come off.
nice work, are you gonna paint the engine bay or just leave it rusty like that ? 🤔
is there at least a small air gap between the shroud and the rad. fins? You'll want at least some air coming through that extra surface area on the radiator and not just in front of the fans. Also, instead of anti-seize I'd say just dielectric on the threads and on the terminal. Nitpicking over, nice build overall. Much more progress than I've made on my Demon that's for sure
It's so nice
Does the MSD allow for you to set a custom timing curve from a laptop?
Hey nice charger luv the work could you have run the fans at front behind the grill
440 six pack all day long!. 🤘🤘
Should look great. What are the part numbers for all those toys? Building a mild 383 and i like the black on orange look.
I don’t know why but I thought the intro was hilarious and all you said was “We’re spinning.”
Second love dodge
That's about as close to click bait as you can get and still not do it! I was hoping to hear that baby burn! Great video!
What camera do you use for filming and what do you use for editing?
@DylanMcCoolVideo
5 жыл бұрын
Canon 80D and Adobe Premier Pro CS6.
Nice my truck is getting close to run just need a fuel pump
Looks good but I noticed there is a kinck in the rubber loop. That's not gonna be a problem?
Is there a problem with the heater core as to why you have it re routed the way it is?
it might not work as good because the space is for the fans to suck air from radiator from all angles, you should mount the fans in the front and just flip the wires and they will push instead of pulling air the correct way. u should also get a adjustable temp switch for your fans to kick on will help alot
If the fan set up causes problems, is there room to put them on the front of the radiator and have them push instead of pull?

If the shroud is touching the radiator core it's not going to flow any air
@airheadvw4479
4 жыл бұрын
@Paul Cram If the shroud is touching the core no air can flow through it. Air needs space to move if the shroud is against the core fins it's like putting cardboard in front of the radiator. Good Shrouds mount to the outside of the radiator not touching the fins
YERRRRRRRR
I’m only 16 but love Cars, hope I get the opportunity to work on a car project like this in this future.
In my opinion I would use that shroud. I would just make some brackets for the fans. Very restrictive.
É meu sonho ter um Dodge charger 1969, mas infelizmente não tem no Brasil :(
Like hearing you.Common guy not rich doing best you can.Figuring stuff out.440 out of motor home.Hard to find motor.Still lots of money. What do you do for a living?
Cool
👍👍👍👍👍
Good job couldn't watch it because of school rip but good job it might beat my Ford probably will with traction

I can let you in on a little secret there are tons in rural Missouri some of them with really good bodies that still run some of them that are like the one he has some of them that are worse there are just tons and not just Chargers old pickups a whole wide variety of muscle cars they're all over the place down here. I saw a 69 Mustang the other day body was solid didn't run just a little rusty guy wanted 800 bucks for it
