Very nice video! Just a quick history lesson on the '69 Z/28: Like the Boss302 Mustang, the '69 Z/28 came with a factory 302-cid engine. The dual 4-bbl. carbs w/cross-ram (diagonal) intake manifold was a racing piece that could be optioned at time of order, or bought from the local Chevy dealership parts dept. and added yourself. The Z/28 was designed to compete against the Ford Mustang Boss302 and AMC AMX's on the Trans-Am racing circuit back in the day, which limited engine displacement to 305-cubic inches. (PS: I'm a Chevy guy who also loves Mustangs. I currently own two 1993 GT 5-speeds.) 😄👍👌✌🇺🇸

Yea Chevy and ford made the 302 for the Boss 302 and Z/28 because of the rules in Trans Am racing and yes one street option was the cross ram dual carbs for the Z/28. not many people ordered the dual carb/manifold option if you can get your hands on one it's worth big $$$$. Cool build

Revell has recently updated their 69 Mustang Boss 302 kit. I have one and it is awesome. As for the 302, both Ford and Chevrolet had to destroke their engines in order to compete in the under 5.0 liter class in the Trans Am series. They also had to sell those cars to the public in order for them to be eligible to compete.

Nice.....real nice. I just started watching your videos this morning. I do commercial HVAC and drive alot. So in between jobs and stop lights I have been watching one build after the other. I just subbed. Thanks for responding to my comments from your other video's. My builds take alot more time because I am indecisive about what paint scheme I want to roll with ,I really struggle with that decision and waste alot of time.. I am also extremely tired by the time I get home from work AND I have parrots that demand my undivided attention. When I build,my Cockatoo wants to be involved. Not to help with my build, but .....a search and destroy mission LOL. Like a parent who has to wait till their kids go to bed, I have to do the same which means I have little time to build LOL. Anyway, again, truly nice work you do. I will be watching and 👍ing up to your builds.

Very good job! Spray Bomb jobs are not horrible, if you take a few steps. First thing to make it flow out smoother is to heat the paint up, either by putting the can in moderately hot water or with a hair dryer. Second is to cut and polish. I did a candy apple red 1966 Mustang with spray bomb and it turned out pretty good once polished.

I built one of these and purposely dropped in a Resin 409 just to be the most unique one at the show years ago. Not only did the Ruby Red paint job take 1st place but also got the top ribbon for best "non stock" for that idea. Of course we had all the wires and hoses and whatnot, but had a blast building that kit and modifying the chassis to get the engine to sit in there right. Wish I still had that car makes me sad thinking about it even if it was just a model Lol.

That 302 was called a DZ. I believe it only came in the 69 z/28, but had to be ordered. Very high revving engine. Also had deep grove pulleys because it would throw belts. Nice build btw.

This is a nice kit! One of my best builds. I believe the Baldwin Motion Camaro kit has the Big Block engine in it. I can tell you the Chevy 302 was a peppy motor but not a torque monster like the Big Block cars. I want to get the 69 Camaro convertible kit if I build another Camaro. Great job on this one, nice color choice for the exterior. Just joined your channel and turned on the notification bell

I'm a ford guy also but I'm not much on the 69 mustang's I own a 66 coupe. I also own a 65 that I've restored myself. I'm damn sure glad I fell in love with the 65 and 66 mustang's because there still affordable for the common working man. The 67, 68, and 69 Camaro's and chevelle's have shy ROCKETED in price I remember my cousin bought a 2 door 66 nova and a 68 Camaro in 1990 for 2 thousand dollars these 2 cars didn't have engines but they wasn't rusted either those 2 cars today would probably be 5 thousand dollars each in restored condition probably 25 thousand each. But 6 cylinder 65 and 66 mustang coupe can still be bought at a very reasonable price. Not talking crap on Chevy cars but a man has to be damn near rich to buy one these days.

@@modelcarvideos5829 I am kind of leaning toward Alclad right now. I have also used the Folkart brushed metal craft paint. I've tried a Xylene based leaf paint ,decent results but that stuff is nasty fume wise so I don't use that anymore. I've seen people use Molotow chrome refill through an airbrush with great results but that would be to expensive for me right now.
