Thanks so much for the thorough tour! I've got my eye on a '71 95 & this orientation was super useful! :)

Glad I could be of help, it’s definitely not a well documented car or one that some people even know exists. Thanks for watching and for the kind words.

I used to own one, mine was a 1972 so had the later front end but otherwise very similar. This brought back fond memories of it, they’re such a quirky little car and great fun to drive, I miss it. You did a great job of presenting it, thank you from the UK!

Thanks for sharing! I grew up in a 1972 model in Europe. We had to fix quite a few things in the long run, battle rust, repaint it. But loved that car!

My first two cars were 94s and my third was a 95. I'd give my right arm to have anyone of them now.

The Taunus V4 in this Saab is the reason Mustangs have the non-functional side vents. The 1962 Mustang I Concept vehicle used this motor in a rear mount configuration and the side scoops were functional. A number of design queues made it through to the production model, including the side vents. The derided Mustang II model returned to its Mustang roots from the drooling knuckle dragger it became by 1973. The II was smaller and lighter. Among other choices, a 2.8L Taunus V6 was offered. So the Mustang was not conceived be a muscle car. It was conceived to be a light sport car. The NHRA sticker belongs right where it is. If nothing less, as a gift from a cousin.

Thank you for the information, I never knew that. My uncle Robbie gave me that as a gag gift and I’ve kept it since.

I have two white 68's a Sonett and a 96. Your 95 looks really nice. Has it been in California all it's life? Rust free?

It was a California car until the late 90’s when the gentleman I bought it from took it to Idaho. He drove it from Idaho to central ohio in 2012 where I bought it from him. We then drove the car to where I live in North eastern Ohio . It is rust free and solid, my intent is to fix it up and daily drive it.

My goal with the Saab is to get it as close to factory as I can. I would like to daily drive it, but that won’t be for a few years.
