This is a real Pontiac Historical Society documented GTO. Optioned out with very desirable features including 4-speed, a/c and hidden headlights.
Discounted $10,000! During our inspection we realized it has a 350 Pontiac motor, not a 400. It looks just like a 400 and honestly it has a performance build that runs stronger then any stock 400 I've been in. It was $45,998, the consignor's loss is your gain.
EXTERIOR: Repainted it's original Verdoro green color. It is not labeled as a Judge but dressed up like one- judge stripe, rally ll wheels without trim rings and a hood tachometer. Of course it has the very desirable hidden headlight option too. The body appears to be very clean. It has original 1/4 panels, bottom door lips are clean, bottom of fenders are all metal. The panels fit real good too, doors shut nice. The rubber bumper fits nice. The paint is glossy and presents itself well. It is not a premium paint job, there are imperfections that keep it from being show quality. The rear bumper and taillights look new. The door handles, window moldings are original. The weatherstrips were replaced. The rally wheels are 15 inch, they have been repainted, new center caps and lugnuts. The BFG tires look fresh. The headlight door open but you have to manually close them, hood tach works.
INTERIOR: It's very nice inside. The seats were recushioned, reupholstered and have new chrome trim. The door panels were professionally reupholstered. Down on the floor is new carpet and GTO floor mats. The centre console is in excellent shape with a Hurst shifter sticking out of it. In front of me it has the Rallye gauges and clock. There is a custom stereo and new air conditioning controls. Looking around the kick panels, headliner, mirror, rear shelf all look very nice. It is missing the tray out of the center console and the glove box liner. It has all the seat belts including shoulder belts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: It looks just like a 400 and runs stronger. It is a 350 Pontiac replacement motor. Performance built with a hotter cam, high rise Edelbrock intake, a giant dual feed Holley carb, HEI ignition admission system with huge plug wires. Dressed up with new chrome valve covers and air cleaner. It has a brand new alternator. It has been updated with an all new heat and air conditioning system. New power brake booster, master and junction block. It has power steering. The whole engine bay was painted the glossy green. Not a pristine motor compartment but better then average.

The bright work trim for the grill appears to be for a '69 GTO - the horizontal bar in the middle of each side of the grill gives it away. The black plastic background in the grill appears to be correct for a '68. Whomever restored the car did a little mix and match.

The most beautiful Pontiac I've ever seen in my 64 years. I'd rather have a 307ci engine during the current gasoline price robbery. I would not drop the price at all. The nay-sayers just want to rob you for every small irregular detail. Think about what you're doing. Big engines are no longer practical in modern times. Gasoline was a quarter in 1968. And yes I see the date on this posting.

This color looks genuine to the manufacturer. Regardless, nice. I bet it can be a driving car. To bad the headlights don't allign. No hood insulation. Back bumper cracked?

You need to drop the price for the fact that the purchaser will have to replace the thefront valance panel is a 69 unit not the 68 valance. Turn signals are obviously not year correct.

And it's not a 400, not numbers matching, the car is gorgeous but they are overpriced when not equipped as they should be. I know not everyone cares, but if your paying for the real thing, you should get the real thing.

We can help arrange shipping to Canada. This particular vehicle looks to have a hold on it currently, I'd suggest calling sales to inquire if the deal is going through or to become a backup buyer if interested. 📧: sales@volocars.com ☎️: 815-385-3644
