Movie clip on my new beacon, a Dietz 211. This light has 2 functions. On function 1, only the red lights comes on, and on function2, both the red and white lights come on. Each of the white lights are angled up and down. 45 degrees up and 15 degrees down.

Beautiful Superior ambulance.
This ambulance brings back old memories because my hometown of Pasadena CA had one like it as it's City Ambulance from 1967 until 1973.
I like it. From what I can see from the pictures of the car when it was new, this is the correct beacon.
I have one myself. It's nice to have the "hill light" option in a larger beacon than the standard Federal beacon ray version. The 211's just look better on Pro Cars than the smaller "bubble gum" style lights. IMO. They also look very cool at night !
Nice nice god old Days
Wow, Clear dome, rare to find !
A little fascinated with blinking lights aren't you.
I wouldn't mind seeing a clip of your switch setup in that rig.
I seen those with round tops too anyway what was the reason for the 2 lights that were higher & lower?
hill light
Not the prettiest front end but the rest is beautiful
I never saw the car.

No kidding, didn't show a landscape shot, or a view of the interior. The '67 and '68 models would run like a scalded dog. I outran our competitors Olds' and Caddi's everytime.
Dumb question, but how did the lights flash? Modern lights use a computer board, but back then that was non-existent, so how did they achieve flashing lights?

My guess is some sort of relay-logic, motor-and-cam, or other electromechanical mechanism that pulses flashing patterns to the lights
