I like the way he said "Another Hamburger" when the second patty was placed.I bet at that moment lots of jaws dropped 😮! Lol 😂 It's still delicious to this day!

This ad most likely aired in late 1968 or early 1969. Although the Big Mac was invented in '67 it did not roll out nationwide until the next year. The earliest national print ad I can find for it was from March 1969.

They used to have fresh beef. Then went to frozen and recently put fresh beef on Quarter Pounders. Wendy's used fresh beef all the time.

In the late 60’s and early ‘70’s, there was a lot of perky flute and trumpet noises in the soundtracks of TV commercials and sitcoms. I noticed that 10+ years later, the style had disappeared.

Notice the Big Mac was considered a big burger for the time in this commercial and in all McDonald's commercials in the 60s and 70s you see a 12 oz. drink along with a small bag of fries and small burger .Fast food restraunts started super sizing in the 80s

More than likely a 1969 because of the Logo look at the end of the ad! 1968 and earlier had the Slash mark going across M look!

I was eating McDonald's since I was a kid, but I just had my first Big Mac in 2019 at the age of 46. I didn't think much of it, although I did think about the experience a lot and realized that I probably would have been more impressed if I ate it in the mid 1980s instead of long after all the gourmet burger chains exploded and my standards were already high by that time.

Me too: I went from the cheeseburger to the quarter pounder around 7th grade or so. Then I switched to the double cheeseburger: a bit less meat but a lot less bread, and would often get a fries with that. I lived abroad after college and the double cheeseburger is everywhere while the quarter pounder isn't. I got married at 44 to a woman who likes Big Mac's and I had one finally around age 46. It was good. I think I've had one more but I've made it to 56 with only two of them.

Awesome Big Mac Debut as well as a Full 60 Second Version! This was for sure a 1969 because of the McDonald's logo look at the end of Ad! Anything earlier such as 1964-1968 Had a Slash mark Across the Logo M as well as the Wide Extended Golden Arched Grounded Sign! Thank-You for sharing and God Bless!

Every so often Mcdonalds brings back the Grand Big Mac, which is the size of the original big mac. It's definitely worth getting it, when it's available. It actually fills you up, whereas a normal big mac meal doesn't, really

no, the patties at McD have ALWAYS been 1/10 of a pound. You're just bigger now so it looks smaller.

McDonald's needs to go back to their 70's menu model. Trim off all that extra stuff and go back to what they were famous for: their burgers, fries, filet o fish, and shakes.

American cheese is a blend of Colby and Cheddar with emulsifiers.

They recently had the Grand Mac, a slightly larger version of the Big Mac, but they suddenly don't seem to have it anymore.

@@angusseletto1511 The original Big Macs are taller than todays. But the Grand Big Mac was twice as wide. It was bigger than the Quarter Pounder. I couldn't finish it even though I didn't order fries with it.

Same here. I've been eating McDonald's since 1973. The prices were were better & bigger portions were served. Now it's being served less & charge more money. The pattie is supposed to be bigger than the bun. Anyway McDonald's is still very successful.

"chemical, processed, sugar filled" isn't necessarily bad for you. A nutrition professor ate nothing but donuts and vitamin supplements for 4 months, targetted the usual number of calories/day, weight exactly the same and was in perfect health when finished. And dying for a steak and salad.
