How I restored my 1966 Ford Mustang
I have messed around with cars before but this was my first restoration. It all started with a small bubble in the paint on the drivers side quarter panel. I sanded it down and it turned out to be a lot worse than expected. First lesson learned. So I could leave it like that or learn to fix it. For myself there was no choice and no turning back. I had done the motor work, suspension, exhaust and most of the interior before I started documenting it and taking pictures. The video starts after finding the rust behind the paint. The logo is something I drew up a while ago and thought it would be cool to put it in the videos. All of the work was done by hand. I do not have my own shop, and I did not spray any of the primers or paint on this one.
This restoration took place over a few years. The different talents it takes to complete it were self taught as I went on: welding, body work, upholstery, suspension and motor work. Not saying I am the best but I am very proud of my accomplishment.
Since this build, I have completed a few more projects (65 and 67 F100). Hope you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Car info
This is a 1966 Ford Mustang. Originally a six cylinder converted to a V8 five lug. It has a 302 bored 30 0ver, shaved heads, roller rockers, shorty headers, Edelbrock intake, Holley 4 barrel carb, Comp cam, Edelbrock water pump, MSD distributor and 6al box. Champion 3 row aluminum radiator, C4 transmission with a shift kit, Granada front disc brakes, MagnaFlow 2.5" exhaust kit, Monte Carlo bar and export brace, 1" front sway bar, 620 1" lowering front coil springs with a Shelby drop, Torq Thrust ll 17x7" up front and 17x9" in the rear, 8" rear with 3.00 gears which is one of the last things I am planning to change to 3.55 with posi. Not sure if I am staying with the 8" or change to a 9".

Hello @ErnestO BamBeNo. I am not sure about 17x9" up front. I never looked into it. Is that what you have up front?

Thank you @David Santacruz Araiza . The rims are Torq Thrust ll 17x7" up front and 17x9" in the rear. The tires are Hankook but I don't remember the size at the moment.
