Agreed good dude!!!
First gen mustangs truly are something special. I love when people put a unique twist on them like this. Really leaves their mark on the history of such a legendary car.

José Cruz - well said!
I know his pain, went through that back in 97 with a mustang, at my uncle's house, working on it and it caught fire, total loss. I applaud him for hanging in and getting it together and building a beautiful car.

His story of perseverance is awesome!
To each his own, brilliant build, definitely love the background of how the first car burnt and he salvaged the engine! The colour code being shared so openly is what a true enthusiasts does, he is the kinda guy the car community needs!

@@AutotopiaLA I must say I LOVE this channel! Ive been binge watching everyday. Im a real big Mustang fan and have been watching the mustang videos and they just keep coming! I miss mine. Sold it last year after 9yrs of owning it. 05 gt premium. Now I can get my fix here until I get another stang. Love your chill vibe too bro. Keep it up man! -Shawn N from Indiana
Honestly IMO this is one of the best looking and tasteful 1st gens I have seen. Way to go!
Love those fog lights.
Nice build bro . I’m a Mopar guy and you talk about everything having to be “correct “… but I built it for me, so my standard answer was “ if you don’t like it, go buy YOU one and build it how YOU like it”
The power to weight in that thing is perfect
Been loving the mustang SoCal crew coming on here! He seems like a cool dude!
Down to earth build, not too much of anything, sounds perfect, bucks just right... Absolutely love it

Same for me and the story behind it is incredible
20’s on a 66’ Hardtop?! Go him for being true to what he wants and you’ll probably find strangely enough he’s probably near true to original rolling diameter OEM too lol . Thanks mate for showing a car truly built with love mate 👍👍👍👍
I like the monochrome paint myself. Big respect on the perseverance. Also dig the lights.

Same for me all the way 👊
Love this car, this is the future of appreciating classics like the 65 Mustang
As soon as he said, “ a Ford color…” I KNEW he was gonna say; Stealth Gray! That’s been on my radar for years! BEAUTIFUL build! This will inspire me on my build 🙌🏾 ⚡️
Damn! Thats really sweet ride, with the Manual Box, and the exhaust note... The red interior is very nice.. the colour and the wheels are a statement.. Great Slammer!
What an awesome build! Those wheels definitely look great & the interior is the best of both worlds. Heck, even the donor car looked good.
The Burnout Wheel-Hop brings back memories of the mid-70's - gas was 30 cents - and u had to have traction bars - because they looked Cool ...
Damn, what a great story. Like a phoenix rising up, the heart made it thru the fire. Badass!
Funny thing is I worked with this guy in Kuwait. He had a Mustang out there 😂. It was a 05 if I’m not mistaken. Small world. Dope Stang Gee.

Another great video Shawn! A car an everyday man can build and enjoy. Keep up with this content! Something realistically attainable and something that most of us car guys enjoy seeing. Keep up the good work!

Thank you! We love showing a variety of builds and the people behind them
Love it! It’s an inspiration to me. My first car is a ‘65 Coupe, Silver Blue. I still have it, bought in 1984, but has been off the road and stored for 25 yrs. Finally looking at pulling it out and restoring to a original driver, or building into a restomod. You have me leaning towards a restomod! Great car! What a fun car! The sound of that car is addicting! Nicely done! Thank you for sharing!
I LOVE THE WHEELS AND THE COLOUR 100%
Awesome I have a 66 convertible Mustang my very first car I got at 15 I'm 30 and still got it

The size of the wheels should mimic the size of the car. Smaller car, smaller wheels. Larger car,...Twenties are simply too big for an early Mustang.
Very nice. Nice restomod where he pretty much kept the integrity of the original look. What really makes it is the retro gray color. It just catches your eye because the color is novel, yet understated.

Glad it got a second chance ,Nice build!!!
Such a beautiful car!! Love the wheels.
Sweet little rig. It reminds me so much of my buddy's first gen Mustang and the excitement those cars generated when they came out. Wheels and paint are fine by me. Really nice pull and sound. Pat on the back for his stickin' with it after the fire....that was a hell of a thing to happen.

Sounds really great
Not that many will read this but these Mustang stories always hurt me. I'm not a huge Ford or Mustang guy (except old 60's Stangs n Broncos) That being said me and my father had purchased a '67 Fastback we were planning on restoring. He had a love for them as he once owned a Shelby GT350 &500. Unfortunately his health took a turn for the worse after losing his business a yr or so later. The cars body and sheet metal had all been finished and we bought all the parts to restore her, even planned on swapping out the K code 289 for guess what? Yup 347 stroker 425hp base. Sadly my father left us in 2011 and my family has gone through hell ever since for many reasons and my mother had financial hard times and sold it a few yrs back to some guys from CT unfinished. It was OUR project and both myself and my father had blood sweat and tears into her. I was VERY angry and upset for a long time to come and it bothers me to this day.
Couldn’t agree more. hook and book. There is a level of controlled chaos that is truly amazing.
Absolutely love the color and the wheels, looking good!
Love these mustangs!!
My first Ford was a 64 1/2 Fastback and I painted it China Blue which is very close to Stealth Grey.... Now I have a 17 RS... the plates read STLTHRS. ROCK THE OLDSCHOOL...ROCK THE GREY! And those wheels are BADASS especially when rotating at low speed 👍
Great build and that understated mini ducktail and those H-D Fog Lights. It’s just super unique.🤘
Awesome mustang with an inspiring backstory.
Perfect set up😤💪🏾😤💪🏾

What a Beautiful Beast 😭♥️
Mr. '66 Mustang owner keep up the down to earth humble attitude! Lovin' your bad a$$ Mustang from top to bottom sir! The negative comments will always come. Just continue what your doing to build your rides to your likes. Hey if you were to hand over that Mustang to someone commented negatively...you think they'd decline the free Mustang-nope lol!
Those wheels look great on that car 🔥🔥
