'65 Ford Mustang with NASCAR Transmission & 363 Stroker Making 680 hp | Street Legal Racecar

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

My friend Ethan Ruff told me about a '65 Mustang that we had to shoot. Ron built this car to race at Shelby events and other track days and it's a beast. Fully caged. LOUD. Dog Box transmission from NASCAR with that beautiful "no lift shift." This car is a bruiser making over 600 naturally aspirated horsepower and it is loud. Technically street legal but honestly this is a race car so sit back and enjoy the ride...

I had a 4.57 posi 9" rear in my '65 fastback. 289 hi po w/4 speed. Street/ strip, red & red interior. It was pretty fast for what it was. 8.30 in the 1/8th on 7" cheater slicks. I had more fun with that car than any other. I'm 70 now & still wish i had it! This black one is insanely beautiful! the "Monte Carlo bar" and "export brace" are in fact, the same thing. all Mustangs and Falcons came with the left and right "hockey stick" stamped piece coming off the top of the shock towers to the firewall. But when Falcons went racing in Monte Carlo prior to the Mustang's invention, they found they needed even more support. They looked at the tube running in front of the shock towers and air cleaner that was installed on cars exported across the sea, and realized that would do the trick. One day someone will do a movie about the Falcon's attempt at Monte Carlo. Like Ford v Ferrari, it's a case of the racers versus the "suits", the Falcon crew from England got real close and then were told to shelve everything as the Mustang was going to be the new "fair haired child" at Ford. It was always about selling a product.

Porsche 911s have had dry-sump lubrication systems since 1964. That year the 911's oil capacity was 13 quarts in a 2.0 liter engine. Oil is pumped from crankcase to the oil tank (9 qt capacity) in the right rear quarter panel, then pumped to an external cooler then back to the crankcase. Oil level is checked with the motor at idle.
