My aunt had a Kenmore that she used for years. They were really good work horses back in the days. Would rather have one of them than the garbage that is out there now.

My mom had a Lady kenmore too great machine miss it when it broke

That machine has good roll over action! Thats a very well built washer ! & that famous sound

Back when Whirlpools and Kenmores were the best. My great grandmother had a 1979 Kenmore 80 series washer. Only thing we replaced was the motor

Great video Gso!!! Nothing like those older Kenmore washer's, They really did a great job cleaning your clothes in a short amount of time... Not like the machines today that take well over an hour to do the same job!!! Have a good one!!!

Love these old Kenmore/Whirlpool Washers, Last one I had was from 1984 in 1994 it quit called Sears out they said it wasn't worth fixing, They gave me a Coupon for so much off a new one so I did, Left that one in the house I lived in when I sold it in 2001, Then bought a new matched W/D, Then in 2011 I switched to a Gas Dryer then a few months later went ahead and bought the Washer to match as the 2001 washer was starting to make a loud Squeeking at the end of the spin cycle, About a year ago I had to change out the Basket Support Struts on the 2011 and noticed they did go back to Belt Drive, It's a Surpantine type not like the old ones like this, And nowhere near the build quality!

Interesting how the motor on this machine stops before it switches modes. Never seen that before. I kinda like that!

Your washer makes the proper sound when it runs. I've heard other people's Whirlpool/Kenmore washers sound horrible. I spent a lifetime fixing them. If they don't sound just right, something is wrong!

Good vid Gso! Happy belated new year! The rollover on this machine has been fantastic from all of your videos. Hope you get those older Whirlpools up and running in the future. Would like to see both the 56 or 55? and 58 Whirlpools in action again.

Not much difference between lo and hi water level. I always liked the Lady Kenmore’s there was something special about them. This one purrs it’s in great condition.

wish I had an old belt drive washer then the new washers today that actually used water and actually cleaned your clothes

It's a great machine and I have to wonder since it's a lady Kenmore maybe that was medium-speed because I think there was a time when lady Kenmore washers had three spin speeds I could be wrong but I do know that I had an aunt and a friend that had lady kenmore's and there's spun a lot faster

do you have any vintage whirlpools belt drive Saxy video on that if you have any of the whirlpools

Where is the rest of the agitator..... the part that's supposed to be under the fins at the bottom?!

It was purposely designed like that. Probably less strain on the transmission with those flexible big fins.

Tyler, can you make a video using the wash n wear cycle? I love the cool down cycle on these old Kenmores.

Try getting 37 years out of one of these new Samsung washers. LOL not gonna happen!
