Back in the 1960's, my Dad told me our Government Department of Lands & Forests bought about 50 of these from 1964 to 66, All dark green, and eventually sold them off at auction after their miles got up there. Used to see them on the roads decades after, still clocking along, one tough old truck. A few folks here still call the color Government Green. Cheers

I like it. Farm truck turned cruiser. It ain't gonna be fast, but it'll get ya there every time. Sometimes you just use what's there and enjoy the thing rather than letting it snowball into a full rebuild that may never get done
Haha, I love when a viewer takes the time to tell you how much they don't like something. So funny you call them out. They won't learn anything, but we'll have some fun reading it. Oh, almost forgot, truck looks AWESOME!

On my 66 GMC, I kept the 15 inch rims it came with, and put 205/70r15's on the front and 255/70r15's on the rear. The 255's are the same diameter as the 235/75r15's it had so the speedo is even right. That gives it a raked front look like an old 70's muscle car. I like it.

I like the analogy you made when pointing out the worn spots on the door where the guy rested his arm, I could visualize and see how the paint was worn over time. I like the fact that its all there and the truck was treated like a favorite pair of old shoes. You did some nice subtle touches on a budget to make it more desirable. I think the stance is perfect with just the right amount of rake. The asking price is well worth it for a runner with all new brakes and clutch for someone to have and enjoy as is. Good job brother.

I remember reading that the epa stopped copper use because the dust was a pollutant that effected fish. I think it was salmon. This truck deserves some TLC.. give duff a big kiss on the nose.
Man, that is one SWEET '64!!! She sits right, looks cool and purrs. Glad you took off the topper, makes her look better. That park ranger green with white bumpers - just a classic 60's look. 10K is a VERY fair deal for a great example. Thanks for all the killer content and the laughs! Love this truck. Im not a big fan of doing supension changes but this looks good. I get concerned about drivablity after the modifications. I personally would not have a problem with the 194 as long as it runs good.
The truck looks great! Those trucks were so dang reliable and fun to drive. I wish I could add that to my collection, but the kids need new shoes.
I learned to drive in a step side chevy truck...65 or 66 ....6 cylinder 3 on the tree if I remember right it was a blue green color with a white top. This video brings back memories.
That's an awesome truck, you did a fabulous job on it. I'm trying to restore my sons 79 GMC pick up for him as a "gift". The only problem is, I'm not a mechanic. But, not being something has never stopped me from trying new things before. God bless you!!!

As you know, I am a huge fan of these ol GM offerings. The new rigs, not so much. To bad about the no ride along, we can do that later. The ride quality of these is really insane. you are right about fixing all the body panels on this episode, we can see some of that frustration later on. I hope when the weather clears we get to see what the efforts yield. Be well.
