I have been collecting pennies for 60 years but not doing anything about it until I found a book of 1959 pennies to 1974 every one of them. I am finding all kinds of good stuff that I did not pay any attention to for 60 years. I cannot even go to sleep now because of all the coins I find. I found 100 64 Kennedys and they must have come from a set because they are beautiful and I have a huge bag of quarters all silver. I am a little dizzy right now finding all this stuff. As a Lincoln Cent collector, your insights into those that might be valuable are always great. Had no idea about the 1959s being as potentially valuable as they are. I have some in my "bags" of copper.... guess what I'll be doing!

I have a roll of fifty 1959 (no mint) pennies left to me by my grandfather. I was going through the coins and separating them into decades and chose to look at this year in particular as I was born in the fifties. I'm amazed to see how valuable they are. Thanks for the great video.

Wow!! I certainly didnt know the 1959 penny was worth as much as some are and had no idea about the History of the 1959 penny. It's amazing how much some of these Penny's sold for at auction ... I will certainly be on the look out for these... thank you J&B for all this cool information.

I found a 1959 Philadelphia mint penny in my change just yesterday. It looks very new with a lot of the surface still shiny.

I was born in 1959 what a great year! The first year of the new design but I didn't know how valuable some of them are. thanks for the heads up I will be on the lookout for the special ones. I found a silver colored one that I think must have been zinc plated or something it's pretty cool.

I’ve actually saved all of my 1959 pennies, but I didn’t know they could be worth as much as revealed in this video, wow! I was also surprised to find out it took over fifty years for the top grade D to come out and be revealed! I don’t have any dcam 1959’s at all, but I will keep searching for some. The mule coins though, those would be life changing to find for me! 👍

Certainly I’ve not had a single notion that the 1959 Lincoln memorial reverse cent had any value. And My belief was to continue to look and find the 1958 last wheat cent reverse year and /or any errors in between. More to keep my mind off of serious issues is always a gift.Thank you much J

Yeah I collect coins myself my great-uncle Mel passed away and come to find out he was a coin collector only met him a couple times when I was a young boy and he had a huge handful of 1959 and 1959-d and I came across a couple D Over S's... And I do have a couple pretty close to mint ones actually, a good seven or eight out of like 40 1959's and I was still learning then so when I came across them like why is he have so many 1959's and then I mentioned more into it and found out and I'm getting ready to send some of those 2 anac's

I knew they are special do to being first year of the memorial reverse. But didn't know that some could be worth that much. But with so many errors gives you a better chance of finding one.

THANKYOU FOR YOUR KNOWLEDGE. AND YES THAT'S A PLEASANT SURPRISE THAT THE 1959 PENNIES ARE WORTH SO MUCH.

Not surprised by the high value but impressed by the great many varieties and errors and the importance of finding high grades by searching in Proof and Uncirculated sets as well, as always, in your change.

I had no idea the 1959 penny could be so complicated in value! While I don't think I have any that are special, I will always be on the lookout for more! Thanks, J & B!

Even though it was a 20 minute video. You know the part in friends where ross and Monica's mom on Thanksgiving got all that information in 30 seconds.. yeah that's how i feel right now!! That is a lot of information on one coin. I love the transition of the wheat cent to the memorial back. I did not know about any of the wrong planchet, or that they were worth so much money.. but i did know about trying to find one in high grades, for my book and one day sell it with all pristine cents.

Great video. I didn’t know the back of the Penny coincided with Lincoln's birth. I didn’t expect the 1959’s to have that much value, I had to hit rewind when you said how much the 1959 proof went for.

I found a 2014 Lincoln shield. I call it a 3 cent penny cuz it has three prints. I can see 3 different dates. Trust is printed twice interesting penny

I've always felt that the transition coins, like the 1959 cent, are worth keeping. I only collect pennies and I am very surprised to learn of the value for some of the 1959 pennies. I will have to check my collection to see if I have any of the ones mentioned in this video. Thank you for your informative videos.

I knew the mule cent was extremely valuable from your last penny about it, but did not know about regular strikes being valuable.

Going through my 5 gallon bucket and have a few so far but not in this great condition yet. I did by a coin scale and a cool magnifier to see doubling. Found a 1919 with issues and is as clean as this 1959. Any comments are grateful. Have 3 of this 59 with 1 D but all browning. Maybe it may be in my bucket. Thank you for your fine video.

Love the 59's and I have a UNC roll my grandpa gave me years ago. When I did a bit of research, I thought there was also a DDR on the 1959 P pennies? 4 on business strikes, and 6 on the 1959 P Proofs....according to variety vista? Unless I misunderstood what I was reading....
