Upon further investigation our inspectors have discovered that the information that we got from the previous owner of the car was incorrect. This retractable does not have a 312 is has a 292 under the hood. Thank you to Kermit for going the extra mile and finding this information out for us!

I'm a dedicated Chevy man but I can appreciate a beautiful car. This gorgeous Ford is no doubt better than when it rolled off the assembly line. A restoration like this is to be admired and appreciated. Great car. I love it.

No 57 Fords were Galaxies. The Galaxie came out in 1959.

The Galaxie name wasn’t used till the 59 model came out.

Like the narrator, I was seven years old when this car was built. I have never seen one when it was new. That was any nicer. Much less years later totally amazing restoration you will be who I will shop first when I look to start my collection. thank you for showing us this marvelous Piece of work and I never seen that color back in the day but I like it. I like things that are a little different. It has all the unusual bumper guards on the front factory air. Amazing you mention town and country radio that was a new term on me, don’t know what that really consisted of. Thanks again.❤❤

Brings back memories of my youth. I own one at age 16. Dated my wife in it 1968. We got married 1969. We are still married and celebrating 55 years if marriage next week. However, mine was never this nice. So cool.

The “add-on V-bar” looks like it came from the Canadian version of this car called the Meteor. The equivalent model was a Meteor Rideau 500 Skyliner

Think about the engineering that went into this car almost 70 years ago. IMHO the 57's and the 59's were absolutely beautiful. Not a big fan of the 58. My parents had a 57 Fairlane 500 4 door hardtop. I only remember it as a child but it was beautiful.

Given that the car is just about perfect, it's crazy that the speedometer wasn't working.

Out of sight restoration. Even new, these had horrible panel alignment…fit and finish was the worst. Some problems were not just assembly but in manufacturing the parts poorly. No new ‘57 ever came off the line this good. Incredible work bringing this up to fit and finish. My hat is off to restorer.

There is no such thing as a 57 Galaxie, Fairlane 500 Galaxie or otherwise. The Galaxie came out in 59.

Lose the continental kit…makes the Fairlane look way too “buttrous”…otherwise, it’s an absolute dream…😉

We are all different! I despise the Continental Kit and the skirts, spotlights etc. in my opinion they ruin the good looks. Others will Disagree!

All the options show just how beautiful the 57 Ford was.

Could the trunk be used for things like suit cases if you left the top up? If I win the lottery, I'd bring my 70 Montego to you for restoration. This is as good as it gets when it comes to restoration. Glad the guy didn't make it a low rider or screw it up with some modifications. Those look like factory colors?

Unfortunately continental kits are a deal breaker. Awful.
