This 1956 Ford Model 860 tractor is finished in its original color scheme of red and light gray. The Series 800 was offered in three Models: the 820, the 850, and the 860 with the 860 being the range topping model. The Model 860 features a gasoline powered 172ci inline 4-cylinder engine rated at 40hp at 2,200rpm, a 5-speed unsynchronized manual transmission, and a live PTO. It has a 14-gallon fuel capacity and weighs roughly 3,500-pounds. It was built at Ford's Highland Park, Michigan plant and had an original price of $2,407.
This tractor has been a life-long Michigan based machine and was treated to a restoration 4 years ago in which today it presents with 10.5 hours since completion. It features Firestone Field & Road rear tires and Akuret Harrow Track-3 front tires, two front headlights, a rear taillight, and a rear spotlight. We recently acquired this Model 860 from a collection based in Grand Ledge, Michigan where it has remained in the greater Lansing, Michigan area since being purchased new in 1956.
