A long time ago I purchased a 1952 Ford truck like this for $50. It was seized, was painted gold using a brush with house paint. Had some rust, but it had a Mercury Flathead V8. I got it unstuck by filling the cylinders with auto trans fluid and letting it sit for a week, then rocking it back and forth against 3erd gear until the crank moved. Then I cleared the cylinders and put new plugs in it. Fired it up and smoke fogged the area. Lol. I used it as a general purpose truck for years, used as much oil as it did gas (pits in the cylinder bores you know). Memories.

Brings back memories for me. My dad and I had a 51 Ford that we rebuilt together when I was in high school. Found the truck in a field, took 2 years to complete it.

Don't forget oil level in fan hub and few drops in distributor and generator Fan hub lubricant critical check every 3 months or sitting long periods On fan hub what looks like a small screw head is oil fill .. 30 wt winter 40 summer Put in 1.5 ounces in once you remove screw head its a 1 inch machine screw Make sure its at 12 position fill 1.5 to 2 oz oil then clock to 6 position to drain excess Then back to 12 replace screw snug tight .. few drops in dist and gen Use marvel mystery oil in fuel for upper lubricant when running a engine out of hibernation Loved the video

Rad man, the '52s are my favorite of the 50s Ford trucks. Run some Seafoam and Marvel Mystery oil or Berrymans in the oil, will help loosen up those rings and clean out the carbon. Congrats man.

I have lots of video leading up to this moment, not yet on KZread. first, use fresh gas, nothing from the tank. I have hooked up a small plastic tank. second, don't use original wiring. I definitely had grounding issues, frayed wires. finally check timing and clean the points.
