We decided to take the vehicles out for some snowy pictures and couldn't resist testing the snow capabilities a bit.
Жүктеу.....

It actually surprises me how quiet they are when you're driving like this. Once you get up to 40 miles an hour you definitely need ear protection (engine noise, but mostly because of the transfer case gear whine). With the American Dodge WC, it's the other way around. In 1st and 2nd gear, while driving in this type of terrain, the gearbox gets very loud.

Chevrolet C8A 85 horsepower for 1943 is quite a lot, here is an in-line six-cylinder engine

My brother who fought in Indonesia told me that when 'new' Canadian built army trucks arrived, the truck drivers all tried to get their hands on the Chevrolet (6-cyl.) powered ones and the ones with the Ford (8-cyl.) engines were less wanted. Being a 'flat-head' V8 fan, he didn't understand... Anybody any idea why?

It would have been interesting to see a RAM 2500 struggle through these fields.

This is actually a great idea! Maybe we can compare our trucks to my nephew's RAM 2500 one day...

would you know some spare C8 axles?

John Corden in the UK had a batch of C8A back axles made of which I got a pair last year. I believe they were only made for the people who ordered though, as they were quite expensive. The company that made them probably can make some more, but it'll be more expensive if they only make one pair. And if you are in the EU, the shipping will probably also be more expensive since brexit. Originals will be very hard to find sadly.
