My brother who fought in Indonesia told me that when 'new' Canadian built army trucks arrived, the truck drivers all tried to get their hands on the Chevrolet (6-cyl.) powered ones and the ones with the Ford (8-cyl.) engines were less wanted. Being a 'flat-head' V8 fan, he didn't understand... Anybody any idea why?

I noticed the feet on my olivetti are starting to disintegrate, you know, the usual thing rubber does, it starts getting sticky and leaves a trail behind if you rub it on the table. Might do the same thing. Amazing hermes baby, my girlfriend just bought one recently, and she's waiting for it to arrive.

Great video! It's incredible how two machines from wildly different times can work together so amazingly. Your video quality is excellent; if you keep going like this you'll find success on KZread for sure. We need more typewriter content!! Cheers from California.

OMG!! The cab ride gave me total ASMR!! I had a 1941 T211(a WC12, I think) all stock, as my daily driver for a few years when I was younger. That exhaust note. That spur gear whine! Even the squeaks and rattles. So many memories. Wow. Thanks!
