Hey Folks its been a while! Task Force Admiral is a WW2 Tactical Strategy Game taking place during the first year of the Pacific war. Iirc, this game has been in development since 2019 or something. And theres only a few people working on it. Still much like other indy games, this is very interesting.

@@lonemarkkingoftypos3722 the game is published by mircopros which is a well known company in the strategy genre, i highly doubt this game will lose support for a while

The AI in this game is phenomenal, there is definitely a real focus on playability without micromanagement, it would be impossible to get all ships to evade torpedo attacks manually for example. I think players will also be able to program their own patrols that then become automated, you can tell the game is intended to be played and enjoyed, rather than micromanaged and stressful.

I would watch a series of battle simulations just for fun. Flak looks beatyfull

I'm absolutely hyped for this game. War on the Sea was such a disappointment.

the fact that aircraft have realistic flight models and react logically given the scenario alone has me sold

This has been on my wishlist. I love how it looks. It reminds me of Battlestations Pacific.

I have never seen an RTS with aircombat that looked this natural and fluid....holy crap it even made the textbook mistake during the engagement against the formation...what kind of eldrich craft is this props to the devs for sure.

Apparently all the planes have flight simulator flight models and the AI is programmed to make mistakes from time to time

6:50 the U.S. is actually testing a weapon called "quicksink" which is essentially a GBU-31 JDAM with terminal IR/laser guidance where it aims to hit next to the ship to cause more damage through the huge pressure wave from the explosion rwther then with a direct hit

There is even ship voice acting! In recent videos we have seen the PA system on ships calling out air attacks

Sooo looking forward to this one, im patient i am really really patient especially for a game of this calibre and i just noticed vol 1 oh wow that means there will be more, oh boy calm im calm, no i cant hide it i am so excited for this i loved great naval battles way back in 1995 and the art in the manual and ingame was terrific i remember thinking i wish the game was like the art and now its here nearly 30 years later i will most certainly pick this one up thanks many miles away for the preview.

2:03 World of Warships has many faults but the graphics isn't one of them.

Looking more forward to Guadalcanal than this honestly. I played Task Force 1942 to death back in the day and I am absolutely stoked! FINALLY a game with World of Warships graphics but with realistic physics and damage modeling. SO HAPPY!!!!

Just a history note: USS Enterprise CV-6 never took a torpedo hit during the war. One of the reasons she survived and her sisters did not.

I need a flight sim like this exact same thing but with VR I wanna live this sh**

Devs have no intention of adding that sort of control. This is much more of an RTS than a FPS.

The rarest of uploads 👀 So anyways I was diving on this yankee carrier group right, and I spotted this really thick one with just the most impressive deck. And I mean a really huge, shiny, hard deck. So I start going for her, cuz you know I can't wait to give her the old "Long Lance" if you know what I mean, and she just starts SWERWING left and right. What a tease. So yeah turns out I had a weak pull-up game, and that's how I ended up at the bottom of the ocean.

Time constraints unfortunately.

The demo is showing the battle of the Santa Cruz islands, in which the Japanese sank the USS Hornet and damaged the USS Enterprise while the United States damaged two Japanese Carriers Shokaku and Zuiho (not shown in-game)

The battle takes place in that area but is not a reenactment of that battle, i forgot to mention it here but the battle plays out differently every time the scenario is played.

Iirc they are looking into it for volume 2 but it’s difficult to do that in a game not original meant for multiplayer
