You need to let your editor know they should disable frame resample to properly cut down 60 fps footage to 30 fps. During the majority of the scenes every frame is two frames ghosted on top of each other which is extremely distracting and actually blurs the otherwise good quality footage.

It should definitely be restored to original and you should put your Turnin Rust logo on the side panel for advertising! I love how you get to work with you Dad, serve The Lord and save all these great vehicles! If I had the money, I'd buy one of the old pick up trucks that you have saved and ship it up here to Canada! Keep up the great videos and can't wait to see what you decide to do with this old truck. God Bless!

I love the friendly, no drama exchange; just two guys that know their stuff calmly doing what they love without cussing each other out, throwing tools, or a bunch of scripted dialogue with dramatized music.... Content like this is why I don't bother with television anymore. And proof that there's still a little Mayberry alive and well!

As a young boy, I recall our home delivery milk man used a step van like yours. In the late 50’s he changed to a Divco standup delivery van. It’s wonderful to see a father and son team working together on a shared love! Make um run again. You both are amazing men.
It's unbelievable that it ran. It's a piece of history on wheels. I especially liked the smiles on Wyatt and Lance's face when they drove it down the road. Just a couple of big kids with their new old toy. Great job guys and may the LORD continually bless you and keep the content coming. I love it.

A LOT of ppl these days are falling foul of the “preservation of its history” to mean, give it a wash, get the motor running & put some linseed oil on it to preserve the history of the life it has lead. How can this be right as in 10 years, if it’s still together it’s just going to show AT BEST the history of it until a little bit of attention was paid to it 10 years ago, how is that preserving anything. If you’re going to do it you should be preserving it as close to the day it was made as possible to show the 1940s 50s or whatever & how vehicles were from those days as those are the ones that matter. So, I haven’t watched this yet so let’s see but they already seem to be going at it a bit heavy handed but I will reserve my view until after I watched it n hope I’m not pissed off. Thanks
I was surprised when it wasn't stuck, amazed when it fired, stunned when it idled and dumb-founded when it moved, shifted through all of the gears and ran down the road..... Somebody's looking out for you. I can't wait to see where you guys go with this thing. Who'da thunk that would happen?

@Jeep 4low what makes you think things aren't still "built to last" the only reason you think that things back then were built to last is that we haven't had the time to see how long cars built now will last unless we wait. and based on the better materials and rust-resistant metals like magnesium most cars use, they will last much longer than these steel and sheet metal cars. and add on that most cars built now have been made to be more efficient and reliable, making it much easier for someone to start it up in 30 or so years. most engines in cars now have extra protection from rust with better-designed exhaust systems and being covered with plastics, to keep direct rain out, and most intakes being harder to get water into. so get that "ah yes back in my day" shit out of here and think about it for a second.

Since it may be the last one, logic says RESTORE it to factory specs and condition. Such a rare bird need not become less value by hot rodding it or anything similar. After restoration, take it to a car show and show it. Who knows, ya'll might get a trophy?!
My first thought when seeing the title of the video was "80 years old? But it was only made in 1940, so it's only sixty... oh wait..." :) Time's passing too fast!
How can you not totally restore this beauty if it is the last one standing. It's a no brainer guys.

I love old rigs , especially Chevys . This Dubl Duti is awesome , doesn't even smoke !
As if it was yesterday, I remember the milk man delivering back in Central America. Thank guys for thr memories, please want to se the development of this beauty!
For something that rare, original is definitely the way to go.
Definitely restore it! Anything else would destroy the value. As you said it’s the only one known to exist.
This is a Great find, I just love these old Videos, so interesting 🧐 to watch. I’m old School, I’m 75 years old, been there done this, can’t remember how many times. Fred Durbin and My Doxie RobbieJo.
It is people like yourselves that makes America great! Restore this old girl to the same condition - as it left the Production Line, but with some exceptions. Power Brakes. Power Steering and Safety Glass fitted. I could imagine this being as 'brand new'. Date Code tells that the tires are original. Maybe the engine and body is very low-mileage. A pleasure to watch you guys go to work on this! Maybe Chevy may buy it and place it into a Museum! Greetings from Australia.

This show reminds me of restoring cars with my dad. He never bought a new car in his life! So much nostalgia, thank you all.
My first video of yours and I enjoyed it tremendously. I love the real time filming rather than heavily edited content. I look forward to more videos on this restoration.
That was cool, watched the whole trip. I bought a 1950 Ford F-1 panel truck a few years ago. When I bought it, the Flathead V-8 was laying in the back, because a shop was doing body work on it, they took the engine out to paint the engine compartment. I reinstalled it and replaced missing items, bought a new carb for it. It took me quite a while to get it running, but finally did, it runs pretty good. I love it when these old guys get running like this, thank you for sharing.
Great show! You guys amaze me with how you can get anything to run. Great find!
Where do I start, I was lucky enough to see your video of finding this '40 Chevy truck, that, was special to me. In 1966 my dad and I got a '40 Chevy 4-door Special Deluxe from the original owner, it was in a barn. My mom said she remembered that car when she was in school and old Willy W. bought that car new. I still have it, though I've not driven it since about 1980. Your truck looks to have '36 or so headlights, the left frt. hubcap is a '40, the right frt. a '48. We took the old 216" out - the blk. was cracked. Your old engine sure wanted to run, that was amazing! Does your eng. have an updraft carb? I remember my G'dad's 37' Chevy dump truck's trans. stick had that little lever too. Is that a reverse lockout? Good luck with this rebuild, so glad to see how you realize this is a special piece. A neglected, junked old work van, eng. runs, tires hold air, trans shifts, clutch works, radiator holds water and the brakes work. Pre-war GM quality all the way! 40 yrs. ago my fender got nicked, more than 6 months later the exposed metal had not rusted. Love it all-keep going!
Just amazing you got it running, great job, please keep us appraised on how the restore is going.
Oh shit I drive by yall every time I go through Bogota. I live down in Mt. Pleasant
