ABOUT LATE NIGHT WITH CONAN O’BRIEN
Running from 1993-2009, Late Night with Conan O’Brien is one of the most beloved late night shows in television history. Known for its absurdist humor, hilarious celebrity interviews and featuring the best stand-up comedians and musical acts of the ‘90s and early 2000s. Hosted by Conan O’Brien alongside sidekick Andy Richter and house band Max Weinberg and the Max Weinberg 7, Late Night with Conan O’Brien featured unforgettable segments like “If They Mated”, “In the Year 2000”, “Desk Drive”, and made a breakout star of Triumph the Insult Comic Dog.

My Brian Stack story. One morning, back when Conan was still doing Late Night on NBC, l got off the train at Grand Central, and as l’m walking up the platform l recognized this actor (l didn’t at the time know he was also a writer) whose work I loved on Conan. I plucked up me courage and approached him and asked if it was indeed he, and indeed it was. He couldn’t have been nicer, as l conveyed my fandom. So, he gave me his number to call for tickets, l subsequently did so, and had a delightful conversation with him, going back to the days of the Embryonic Polka-dotted Rockabilly Fighter Pilots. The tickets came through, l went to the show, called him later to thank him, and again had a wonderfully enjoyable conversation. It may sound silly, but there was a kind of magic about it, being able to speak at length with someone so central to all those years of entertainment, and his being so receptive and kind. Summer Colors Frankenstein!

That's great. He was one of my faves and I love this bit so much. The other guy who I loved was the guy who made up the overly long complicated chants that he would try and get the audience to follow. Wonder where he went.

That’s so fucking awesome. This character and Hannigan The Traveling Salesman were my two favorite Stack characters, with The Interrupter closely behind. And yeah everything I’ve read about him, and all of Conan’s writers, as well as Conan himself, are how kind and nice and wonderfully down to earth they always are with fans. :)

I find it hilarious that DNA's exact function was not exactly well known during Artie Kendall's time, but still used it to make a racist jab at the Irish.

Brian Stack is a goddamn legend, a gem, and a multi-talented artist who still works steadily for the Late Show. Clearly this was just added to the channel because of all of the attention Brian Stack is getting. All of the bootleg copies of this sketch on other channels were getting too many views. I for one am glad Conan's Hot Ones was such a success (of course it was) so that his and Stack's work can be shared again and again. Now stop reading this if you're still here and go watch CONAN O'BRIEN MUST GO on MAX

"Sing it to the tune of 'Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer'. C'mon, y'all know it".
He just needed to cry, "Give me a C, a bouncy C!"
Whoa, didn't realize they were filming this in HD in 2007. I've watched 480i versions of this so many times, crazy to see it this clear and crisp.

Hitlery Hoo, Stenchedy Stew and Drownadee Mick. They're in my head now.
This ongoing bit is in a 3-way tie for favorite of all time with In the Year 2000, and his staring contests with Andy
LNWCOB is such an underrated gem even though it was well known. The era around the 2000s especially with the all stars Stack, Glaser, McCann, Blitz etc.
